Raindrops on roses . . .

These are a few of my favourite things  . . .

Autumn leaves  . . . the colours, the sounds, the smells . . .

Pumpkins at the farmers market  . . .

Impromptu Autumn picnics on warm autumn days  . . .

Acorns  . . .

Bon fires and hot chocolates with friends  . . .

Dried Indian corn  . . .

Sunflowers  . . .

Scarecrows  . . .

Gathering nuts  . . .

Misty autumn days and the Monarch of the Glen  . . .

Don’t talk to me of solemn days
In autumn’s time of splendor,
Because the sun shows fewer rays,
And these grow slant and slender.

Why, it’s the climax of the year,
The highest time of living!
Till naturally its bursting cheer
Just melts into thanksgiving.

Cooking in The Engish Kitchen today  . . .  Harvest Chicken & Sweet Potatoes.  A delicious layered autumn casserole of chicken, sweet potatoes, spinach, cheese and a sauce.  Fabulous!

I hope you have a beautiful Thursday.  May it be filled with lots of autumnal goodness.  We are having a bit of an Indian Summer here.   Don't forget!
