Raindrops on Roses . . .

These are a few of my favourite things  . . .

I love Scandanavian ceramics  . . .  I adore these teacups by Anna Keramik  Expensive, but very pretty . . .

Inspector George Gently . . .  Lee Ingleby and Martin Shaw together, the 1960's, police drama, crimes to solve.   It's a winning combination.  I hope they are doing another series of it.  I've watched all of the old ones several times.

Angel wings  . . .

Corn on the cob . . . .  this is my Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob.  With herbs.  I despair of having really good corn on the cob over here.  I need to visit Canada in August one year methinks . . .

Hearts  . . .

White on white on white  . . . .

The sight of sunshine breaking through clouds . . . .

 Blue and white china  . . . .

Fairy tales  . . .

Ugly Ducklings that turn into Swans  . . . .

Ruffles and heels . . .

Forget Me Nots . . .

Still feeling pretty ill . . .  I think I am going to have to go back to the Doctors.  I think I need Anti-biotics.  I can't move my head without it thumping excruciatingly . . . last night I kept feeling like I had a hair on my face between my right eye and my nose  . . .  I scrubbed and scrubbed, but nothing was there and the feeling wouldn't go away  . . .

Ouch! You better go in and get antibiotics, I know that doctors don't like to give them out, but sometimes it is just necessary, you've been suffering long enough . . . :0(

  6. Well, I have seen three different Nurse Practioners now Barb and Sybil. I do believe it is impossible to see a Doctor unless you make an appointment far in advance. This nurse today says I have fluid in my inner ear and a sinus infection, but they do not prescribe antibiotics for that nowadays. I am to take two ibuprophen 3 times a day and breathe in steam 3 times a day. Not to come back unless I start to vomit. Just shoulder through and in time it should go away. Not much else I can do. Xoxo

  7. Marie~

One thing you might try for the sinus infection is a, netti pot. It really works for me and my husband. Also, eucalyptus oil. I put 5 or 6 drops in very, very hot water, so it is steaming, put a towel over my head and breath the steam in. It really opens up the sinuses and lets them drain. I don't know if they have, Mucinex in England, but it really helps too, just drink lots of water when you take it. I'm not a doctor, but I have suffered with bad sinuses for years, and these are a few things that help me. Good luck sweet friend.

    Hugs,
    Barb

  8. Thanks Barb. I will try that! I spent about an hour sitting on the edge of our bed last night coughing my guts out. I am so tired. I overslept by an hour this morning. I guess to make up for it! I have to get well for my hospital appointment on Tuesday!xoxo
