Lemon Curd. I could eat it with a spoon. Especially if it is homemade. I have a super recipe that I use. You can find it here. Once you have made your own, you will never want to settle for store bought again. Seriously.
Hydrangea. I love Hydrangea. There used to be a whole hedge of brilliant blue ones at the Manor. She had two pots in the Conservatory that she always kept potted up with hydrangea. I had to remember to water them every day. This year we have a lot of dead stick in ours, so we are going to cut it back and hopefully that will help. I mostly only get Natural Pinks, but there is an unsual one that is pink and purple. I love Hydrangea.
Opening my back door in the morning and letting fresh air flow through the house. I just love the early morning coolness. Of course in the winter I cannot do this because it is too cold, but when the weather starts to warm up a bit, I love letting the outdoors in!
Cannelés de Bordeau. I love them. French Pastry cakes flavoured with rum and vanilla, with soft, tender custard like centres, and dark thick caramelised crusts.
I tasted my first one when we were in the South of France in the town of St Emilion. I fell in love. They are not cheap, but worth every penny. I wish I could afford to buy the little copper molds so that I could make my own here at home, but then again . . . it is probably better for my hips that I can't!
They are gorgeous!
Trying new things. I used to say that I would try anything once. I have revised that and in my old age have gotten a lot pickier. There are many things I would not try, even once! Old age is a great leveller! However, I do like trying new things within reason. Life would be so limited if you were not willing to push the boundaries every now and then, and take a bit of a step out beyond your norm.

or off of any cliffs
I love learning and I try to pick up something new every day. I have an inquisitive mind. Sometimes it drives Todd crazy. I am still one of those kids that wants to know . . . "But WHY?" I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing, but then I am not on the receiving end of my whys, lol.
I love playing word games, although I am not necessarily very good at it. I do love words however. When I was a child I used to read the Dictionary for fun. I think it is sad that there are not really any more Dictionaries these days . . . you can find out everything online. Myself, I love to go through the pages of a Dictionary and discover new words and new meanings. When I was a child, and I wanted to know how to spell something, my father would always tell me to look it up. Perhaps that is where my love of words began. I don't know. I would like to learn a new word every day, but alas, I think that and then I do something different.
Inspirational Quotes. I have several notebooks that I have filled with quotes that I have copied down. I love quotes. You never know when one is going to come in handy. Words that inspire are the best kinds of words of all.
Nuts, especially if they have been toasted. Not so much salted, although a pinch is alright. I hate it when they are over-salted. I am just nuts about nuts! Especially if they happen to be covered in chocolate. Bad me. Its that sweet and salty thing, which is another thing that I love!
People watching. I love watching people. Everyone has a story. You are never bored if you are a people watcher. I love to watch them and then try to figure out what their stories are. I find people fascinating. We are all individuals and interesting. Not two are absolutely alike, even so called identical twins. There is always something to tell them apart, however minute it might be. People are just interesting, even the so-called boring ones. In fact, I would go so far as to say there is no such thing as a boring person!
And those are my favourite things for this week! What are some of yours?
A thought to carry with you through today . . .
