My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things I find each week that piqued my curiosity and creative juices and that I think you will enjoy too!

How to tape your feet for Plantar Fasciitis.  This is what they did for me at physio when I had it really bad before and this is what I did yesterday.  It helps and after I did this yesterday I was able ro function.  ie. walk without wincing.  It really works well.

You are going to want to save this.  Useful for all sorts.  Party favourites, small gifts, baked gifts, etc.

From Lots of DIY.  So pretty, and they fold flat.   Simple.

Sock Owl Family.  A free pattern/tutorial from Craft Passion.  Sweet!  These are so cute!

Fab Art DIY.  I cannot resist another sock creation.  This is so adorable.  Can you imagine a whole basket of them?   If I was a squealer, I would squeal with delight.

Not free but adorable.  An instant download PDF for this sweet Scottie Dog Embroidery.  Country Garden on Etsy.  I love, LOVE it!

Alexandra MacKenzie.  A Right ol Tea Cosy.  I love LOVE it!  You can get the Pattern Here. In her Etsy Shop.

Craftsy Blog.  How to draw a Bird's Nest and add colour.  Love this.

DIY Floral Bunny Ears.  Bespoke Bride.  Cute!

Lia Griffith.  Crepe paper Peonies.   She has a ton of paper flower tutorials.  Gorgeous, each one.

I could not find the source, Muddy Boot Dreams.  But what a fabulous idea.  An old iron bed-stead as a gate, spray painted red.  Quaint.

From Organise My House.  Sounds good to me.

Decluttering 101.  I'm working on it.  From Make Stuff Pretty. Every little helps.

Crochet Bag Pattern.  From Ravelry.   Love this.  A free Pattern.  And its lined. Great!

I could not find the source for this, but I love it.  It's just gorgeous.  If you can find it, let me know!

And those are my finds for this week.  Todd is off bright and early to his appointment today.  The only morning appointment from the bunch.   So far he is doing great!  Thanks for all your happy thoughts and prayers.  They are ever so much appreciated!

Happy Birthday to my brother Dave, who is turning 57 years young today!  Love him to pieces.  He is a wonderful man, husband, father, friend, brother.  He has the most wicked sense of humor.   I really enjoyed spending time with him the last time I was home.  He's been unemployed for about a year now.  He has a second interview for the same job today so wish him luck and send him a prayer!  He's learning how to fly a glider as well.  Kudos to him!

A thought to carry with you  . . .

A picture one for today  . . .

  1. Hi, Marie...Happy Friday! Oh, but I hope your foot feels better! LOVE that sock kitty! :))) I can see a basket full of those! I wonder what Luna would think of them... LOL! And LOVE that granny square tea cosy. Next time I make a tea cosy, I want it crocheted somehow--stripey granny rows, or maybe this way with granny squares. The Lent list great for now--thanks for sharing this. I will pair it up with my big spring clean I usually do during Lent. Buttermilk biscuits... YUM! :) Happy Day to your brother... And HAPPY DAY to you all there, my friend ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))

  2. My darling girl I hope the strapping helps. I have had that done and it does help.

Thinking of Todd a lot. I hope he has a great weekend.

In the fifteen hours I shall be off until the 23rd. I am not sure about the internet as it seems to be $25 an hour. The internet at sea is so slow. I think the Queen Mary II is not a slow boat but the internet is definitely going to be a slow boat to China.

    God bless everyone.

  5. Decluttering has become my middle name the past few months as I downsize my stuff to move. Paper work saved over the years has been a nightmare unto itself. Way too much here and there is more to go through. Ugh! Keeping up on a daily basis is now the way to go as I move forward.

  6. Inspiring post Marie! I have had a rather muddled week, culminating in dropping my specs in Wilko's car park. Some kind person handed them in, but they are rather scratched.
So good to hear Todd is getting stuck into his treatment - I'm sure the time will go in a flash - it does when you're getting on a bit- I say this from my 82 yr old vantage point!
    Have a lovely weekend XXX

  8. Oh Tracy, I have been so slow to visit this week. I will try to get to everyone's pages today! My week has disappeared in a puff of smoke! I hate it when that happens! Love you! xoxo

Thanks Suzan! The strapping it helping big time. I hope you have a lovely cruise! Can't wait to hear all about it! xoxo

Thanks Monique! Merci beaucoup from Mr T! You cheer him. I will look up those patterns. I have a ton of yarn that needs using up! xoxo

Oh dear Pam! I know how you feel. It can be overwhelming. Our good friends Tina and Tony had to do that a few years back and it was a real chore, and then they ended up having a grandson come to live with them and had to move back into a larger place! Keeping you in my prayers for a smooth transition! xoxo

I think you are right Bunny, the older you are the faster time flies! glad you found your specs, but sorry they were scratched. Can they do anything about that at Spec Savers? xoxo

Thanks Sybil! He is looking forward to the weekend and having not a lot to do! So far it isn't raining here, but we will see how that goes! haha! xoxo
