My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become, inspire memories . . . maybe they will do the same for you!

InstruPix.  Halloween, Pumpkin Goodie Bags.  Maybe for the grandkids?

Wilton, Spooky Cupcakes.  Cute!

I love smoothies, don't you?  Some great ideas here.

Daisy Farm Crafts. Infinity Scarf pattern. Free.

ATERCrochet on Etsy. Crochet Garland. Not free, but also not overly expensive.

Lola J Folkart on Ravelry.  Crochet Necklace. Love the primitive colours and styling. This would be a great scrap buster.

Quilting Digest.  Yo Yo Christmas Trees.

Whistle & Ivy. Colourful Clutch. Free pattern.

Crochet Sunglasses Case. Emma Scott on Ravelry.

Lia Griffith.  DIY paper houses.

Adventures of a DIY Mom.  Candy Cane Star.

Frugal Family Home. Easy Felt Christmas Trees.

Oh Yay Studio.  Christmas Light Garland. Simple. Felt. Free.

No Source, but what a cute way to style a lantern for a Christmas room decoration.

Again no source, but what a great table decoration. Tall glasses, pine cones, mini lights.

No source again, but these would make cute neighbor gifts, etc.  Simple as well.  A cake mix, some Christmas pot holers and some measuring spoons.

The Painted Hinge. Crochet Coasters. Free Pattern.

Kayla In the City. Journaling for Clarity Prompts.

Sara Laughed  How to start studying the Bible helps.  For Beginners.

No Source, but isn't this cute?   I love it!  Simple also.

Pumpkin Pie Bites. Again no Source.  What I would do is double a pumpkin pie recipe. Bake it in a 9 by 13 pan and then chill it really well. Using a small round cutter, cut into rounds. Pop onto a serving plate. Garnish with whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin spice.

Never Tell Me.  Free handwritten fonts.  I love fonts.

And those are my finds for this week. I Hope there was something that interested you.

A thought to carry with you  . . .

You often feel tired
not because you've done too much,
but because you've done too little
of what ignites a spark in you.

Again, nothing new in the kitchen to share. I hope I can get back in the saddle soon.  In the meantime. they physio therapist feels again it is just a severe muscle spasm, so another sheet of exercises. She said if on Monday I am still in excruciating pain, to book in to see the GP again and maybe he can prescribe a stronger pain killer or a muscle relaxant.  So we will see.

Happy Friday to you all.  Whatever you get up to, I hope it brings you joy!  Been trying to call my dad for days now, but he never answers.  I will try again today. Hopefully I will catch him at home.

Don't forget!

  1. Good morning, Marie. Hope those exercises help your back. And if not, please be sure you see your doctor again. Your idea to double the pumpkin 🎃 pie and cut out rounds is great. What a cute way to fancy up ordinary pumpkin pie. I love the candy cane star - so pretty. Take gentle care. Hugs, Elaine

    1. Oh, I need to find me a lantern Monique, because I really like that idea. I bet yours is really cute! Funny how we pinpoint a lot of the same things! I feel like today I may have turned a corner somewhat. The pain is still there but I seem to be more resigned to it? Coping better with it? Learning to live with it? I don't know, but today seems not so bad. xoxo

  3. My mom used to get muscle spasms and got the muscle relaxants to get better. Hope you get some to help you. I'm surprised they didn't prescribe them for you.

    1. They don't like to prescribe things I guess, unless absolutely necessary. Paracetamol is what I was told to take, up to 8 a day. Doesn't even begin to touch the pain. xoxo

  4. Hi Marie~

I sure hope that the exercises help you, you have been in pain for way too long!

I love all of the ideas today, but the lantern has to be one of my favorite! I also love the paper houses! Wouldn't they be cute with a fun treat inside for Christmas!? I can't wait to make a pumpkin pie, they are my favorite any time of year...it looks very tempting, yum!

Great quote...again! I always feel like I fall short at the end of the day...maybe because I'm not doing anything that makes me spark!! ;0)

Love to you and Todd!! XOXOXO

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb
