A thought to carry with you . . .

A picture one for today as I am running really late.  I was very late getting up this morning, so not like me.  I find since my GP changed my gastric medication my problem with reflux has gotten a bazillion times worse and it has been keeping me up all night. I think I need to go back to my old tablets.  I am not sure what the problem is.  Its very uncomfortable and I can't sleep.  😪

On the plus side I had a message from my sister to tell me that mom's procedure went well and if all was okay this morning, they could go home.  Thanks for all the prayers!

In The English Kitchen today  . . . .  Sweet Glazed Easter Bread.  In memory of my Aunt Thelma who always baked us beautiful Easter Breads.

Have a wonderful Friday!  Its Good Friday so I hope you spare a thought for Jesus and what He went through for us.  In any case, don't forget!

  1. thanks for letting us know your Mom is well and going home. That is wonderful news, but not so good that you are feeling worse. Adjust those meds if you need to or call the doctor for advice...you are supposed to be getting better not worse. Take good care !

    1. Thanks Pam! Had a message from my sister to tell me they are now home so that is also good. I am going to the surgery on Tuesday for blood tests so I am going to ask to make an appointment to see my Doctor on that day so I can have my old tablets re-instated, as obviously the new ones are not working well. God bless and Happy Easter! xoxo

    1. Oh how lovely Monique! I need to make me some of those chickens. I think they are so cute! I always feel like a pest when I go to the Doctors, not like the old days when they used to come to your home if you needed them to! But we live in modern times. You have a lovely weekend and Happy Easter! xoxo

  3. Hi Marie~

I'am so sorry that you are still having issues with your medication. Nothing is worse than not getting a good nights sleep because of heartburn. I have been suffering with that myself; the only thing that helps me is baking soda, sad but true.

I love daisy's and the tutorial for painting them really does look easy. I hope to get back into painting, drawing, or at least just being a little bit more creative this summer. I have some fun ideas in my head...it's just making my mind up to do them!

I made a granny stitch afghan and I love it! It was really easy and seemed to go quickly. I also like the look of the stitch, it reminds me of ric-rac.

Again, I really love my milk kefir. It's so good for you, I hope you get a chance to make it.

I use cast iron every single day, you really do have to season them and keep them seasoned so foods don't stick. My doctor told me years ago, to use cast iron, because I was anemic. It really does work!

When I was a senior in high school, I did my term paper on the, Beatles. Just the other day, when Bob and I were going through old papers, I found that paper...I still love the Beatles music!!

Definitely having some precious thoughts about the Savior today...what a blessing!

Hugs and much Love to you!

    1. I have a cast iron skillet that I don't use near often enough Barb! What a wonderful find in that highschool paper! Would love to read it! I loved the Beatles when I was a girl, from the age of 8 on and the greatest thrill of my life a few years ago was to visit the Cavern and spend some time at the venue where they got their start. The walls are covered with signatures of people who have been there. Its amazing! Love and hugs to you too! Happy Easter and Conference weekend! xoxo

  4. I like that daisy garland..I have sunflower and daisy decorations in my den.

I love that cable knit cardigan so much that I'd pay someone to make it for me.

Those cake tins should be on the counter instead of made into light fixtures..just like the bundt pans..what a waste!

When I saw that chicken pot holder I immediately thought of Monique's. Lol. I need to find someone that has the time to crochet some things. I don't have time to crochet now..don't sit still long enough. Lol.

There's a movie that actors are singing all the Beatles songs..don't remember now..I'll find out.

So glad that your Mom is feeling much better..I hope you will be feeling better soon too!
Always in my thoughts and prayers Marie.xo
