Just a little sympathy . . . a few words . . . can go a very long way towards helping someone who's heart is breaking to face the world in a new way and to be stronger and more able to bear up against whatever they may be facing.
Just a little snatch of a melody . . . can fill the world with song, putting some music into any life when things seem to be falling apart and when it may seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The sun will come out tomorrow!

Just a little bit of friendliness and a little bit of praise . . . can urge a tired and discouraged soul to get through days that may seem dreary and hopeless, can lift them up to higher realms and lofty places.
Just a little streak of golden sunshine . . . can light up a darkened sky which looks full of rain, with clouds that look ready to burst, can make a weary traveller feel renewed with new strength and ready to smile again . . .
Just a little crust of bread and a little sip of water (wine in some churches) . . . can renew hope in the soul, and remind us of our covenants . . . can wash us clean again, provide us with an opportunity of repentance, and forgiveness . . .
Just a little . . . you finish it. What are your thoughts on just a little? Oh, I have a naughty one . . . just a little chocolate can send you off the rails!

I hope I brought a smile to your face this morning. I had an extremely bad night last night. I used my spray about four times in bed last night. I didn't think I was ever going to be able to fall asleep, but I must have done so about 2 am. I am wondering if it is just anxiety? I never saw myself as being an anxious person, but I am starting to think I really am. Anxious that is. I try to calm myself down, but those funny feelings in my chest make me even more anxous. I almost woke Todd up to tell him to take me to the hospital. I am glad I didn't now! It is morning and I am still here, so it probably would have been wasting valuable hospital time for others that needed it more. Not to mention, I would probably still be sitting in there waiting to be seen to. Saturday nights at the A & E are extremely busy. I heard on the news yesterday that somewhere here in the UK a man actually suffered a cardiac arrest and died while he was waiting in the A & E for an attending specialist to see to him. How has our health care come to this state? It beggars belief. Cutbacks, understaffing, etc. A recipe for disaster.
I hope that you in North America, remembered to put your clocks ahead an hour last night.

And I do too!
Hi Marie, just a little time spent with someone you love makes you feel so happy and alive.....I'm so fortunate to say this was me this weekend. I was with my daughter on Friday night when we went to see the Stereophonics at the MEN, we stayed over and spent the day mooching in the shops and going to the cinema. It was my Mothers Day present. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had a bad night. I have never considered myself an anxious person either, but I think I would be the same if I had feelings in my chest. It's a vicious circle. Try and take it easy till your hospital appointment.
Sending you lots and lots of love on Mothers Day xxx
How wonderful Kate! I am so glad you had this lovely time with your daughter. It is nice to be so loved and appreciated! Thanks for your love, etc. Love you right back! xoxo
DeleteDiscomfort brings on worry and anxiety..as Kate said..it's a vicious cycle/circle..
ReplyDeleteYou have to have expeienced it to know it.
Blissful are those who have no clue.
Hope you get some answers soon.
As far as medical systems go..who has a great one?
Problems here, problems there, problems in the US..
it's a great great concern.
And honestly..some doctors are wonderful.Others not.
I hope you feel better soon!
Encouraging words are always so appreciated..a smile.. a hug.. And not everyone has that..not even one smile.
THis is true Monique. I have had a very blessed life. Xoxo
Delete~Gentle hugs Marie! Also in my prayers along with others going through illness & or sad times!💞
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Di! Xoxo
DeleteHi Marie~
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry! I know how scary a heart problem can be, and it's true, the more anxious you are the worse it seems to get. You will be in my prayers, always. Our medical system is the same, very crowded emergency rooms, and such a long wait time. I pray that I never have to be one of those left waiting. It's not too bad where I live, but horrible in large cities.
I think I would say...just a little patience goes a long way. We live in such a hurried world, no time to be polite, to listen or say a kind word. Everyone is in such a hurry to get to where they are going, without consideration for anyone else. Just imagine what we would learn if we were to stop criticizing and just take the time to be patient and listen.
Loved the photos in your post, so beautiful!
I hope you had a better night last night (since you will be reading this on Monday... :0) ).
Much love and gentle hugs to you!
Barb
Thanks Barb, I did have a much better night last night. I didn't get to church yesterday because of my problems, but Todd gave me the sacrament later and I just spent a very restful day listening to good music etc. I was in bed by a little bit past eight and slept like a log! Love and hugs back to you! xoxo
DeleteFirst of all Happy Mother's Day Marie!
ReplyDeleteI hope you slept better last night.
It's no fun having anxiety, when I almost died I would stay up til early morn. Went to a Dr she didn't even check me out..talked only few minutes. Took anxiety pills..don't like taking any pills..figured out how to stop it myself. One question was where I bought my shoes..had for years..not kidding. Next time was suppose to have a physical..never happened..waited 2 hrs..just asked about anxiety..never went back. Glad you have a great Dr!
Every time I see a picture of a llama I remember my Aunt Lena standing by a fence at a zoo. All of a sudden a llama went up to her and spit in her face! Surprised and mad at the time, but always laughed about it. She wanted to spit right back, but I was little then, so she just laughed about it.
Just a little self respect for other people and their property..common courtesy. I'm thinking this one bc every other day, there has been a jeep parking..blocking my driveway. Being icy I could slide into it, if backing out. Not sure who their visiting. Will give them a peace of my mind when I see them!
Took pictures for proof..incase they lie. Also no parking signs..both sides of st. Duh!
A couple yrs ago someone parked in back of my house on my lawn. I knew where they were so I called the cops that time. What nerve!
Saw him in the summer..he made a wise crack about it. I asked him how he would like it, if someone parked on his lawn making big tracks..big truck. Been respectful since!
I crab bc I lost a job bc I kept on being late..stuck in my driveway many times..laying on the horn..hollering..even trying to go in earlier. Finally city had to put up 2 signs one on each side of the st. The woman would come out..15 mins later..smirking at me..should of brought her to court..believe in karma..no cell phones then. Just hateful hateful people!
I will keep you and your Mom in my prayers. You and Todd have a great day!xo
Thanks Jan. We have the same parking problem on our street. People parking in front of the drive etc. There is very little off street parking here in the UK and far too many cars. My neighbour seems to always get blocked in. She has called the police many times. If you needed to get out in case of an emergency you couldn't. Thanks for your prayers for me and my mom! God bless. xoxo
