Today's Reading - Mosiah 18: 1-16
Question - What have you learnt from the reading today? What does it mean to you to 'bear, mourn, comfort and stand as a witness'?

Thoughts - To bear one another's burdens is to genuinely care about what people are going through and to say 'I've got something to help you with...' rather than 'get in touch if you need anything' (sorry if that's controversial). To mourn with those that mourn is to genuinely empathize with people when something bad has happened in their life, or if they have regrets that they can't get over. And to comfort those that stand in need is to be selfless and notice when people are upset or needy whether they tell you or not, to be a real friend to people not just obliged to help because you're both members of the church. We have to live our religion from the inside out, if our hearts are in the right place we will do these things naturally.

If we do these things and live how Jesus wants us to, we will be witnesses of Christ in our actions, but we also need to be bold enough to tell people that we believe in Christ, and that it is because of him that we live the way we do. 'Teach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words'

It's living a Christ centred life, following the example He set in His life. It's letting the light you have, the testimony you have shine through your thoughts, words and deeds. It's pushing against the natural man. A life time pursuit!

Tomorrow's Reading (Day 118) -  Mosiah 18:17-35
Question - What have you learnt from the reading today? What does this tell us about members of the Lord's church?

In The English Kitchen today . . .  Parma Chicken & Vegetables Bake.  Simple and delicious, and all in one pan.

Have a great Friday.  We aren't going to the West Coast of Wales today, we are just going to our friends Tina and Tony's for lunch.  Best laid plans and all that!

Don't forget!

    Cooked a turkey..sleep comes easier.

Oh, I remember the built in drawers..had 8 big ones. Bookcases that slid out for storage in each room upstairs..cubby holes. Two sliding closets 1 on each side..loved that room. The house I grew up in..Dad jack of all trades. Brick fireplace outside..shed to play house.. rope swing from tree..tarzan rope. Basketball hoop..big jumping balls..outside games. Big fresh pile of sand every year for neighborhood to play with tonka toys. Big garden..shared with next door neighbor..made into ice rink in winter. That went bc someone broke a leg and tried to sue them.

Long winded lol..going to make a fruit salad. Hope you had a great day!xo

    1. No worries about long winded Jan! Because my father was in the airforce and we lived mostly on air bases, almost all if not all of my childhood homes have now been torn down. Its sad really. I have noplace to visit. xoxo

  6. Hi Marie~

There are few things in life that make me as happy as a good flaky pie crust...and felt flowers...:0)

Can you believe that Easter is right around the corner? And I'm so glad that it's during General Conference, that makes me happy!

I have a grand with a birthday on, St. Patrick's Day, so we always have a really fun, green day, usually with lots of pinches, just for fun. ]

I loved paper dolls when I was a girl, my favorite were, the Lennon sisters, I loved them. I still like to watch them on, The Lawrence Welk show...I'm fuddy duddy like that.

Serving others always makes you feel better, brings you closer to, Christ and brings untold blessings!

    Love to you and Todd!

    1. Happy Birthday to your Grand Barb! I think if you are lucky enough to have a birthday on a holiday, it will never be forgotten! Oh, I LOVED the Lennon Sisters also and had their paper dolls! We have so many similarities. We could be twins! Love and hugs, xoxo

  7. Really enjoyed looking at your Friday Finds. You do find some amazing items.
I loved the campside shawl; it looked warm. Your Easter finds were fun and I will look at some of the links. I did like the St. Patrick ones. I don't decorte a lot of that holiday for some reason. I should do some more. I love Irish Soda bread; yummy! I liked the pattern finds; cute. The Petal Edging is beautiful. Cute tree knitting ornament. I really like the porch swing; I want one. Thanks for the repellant recipes. I love loved paper dolls. Little Women ones would be tempting even at my age. I just attended a funeral for a dear friend today so it was great to read your Book of Mormon thoughts.
    Another great read!
Sending warm thoughts and big hugs yur way!

    1. Oh, I am so sorry to read about your friend LeAnn! Consolation is that they are in a much better place. I never decorate much for any holiday except for Christmas these days and even that has been scaled down! Love and hugs for you! xoxo

Your comments mean the world to me, and while I may not be able to address each one individually, each one is important to me and each one counts. Thanks so much!
