  1. We just loved the series All Creatures Great and Small...and part of that was the beautiful scenery!! We have watched it many times in fact!! And laughed and laughed in some places. Animals are naturally funny so of course, they do make us laugh!!
John Keats sure crammed in a lot in his short life...and my brother that the drunk driver killed also crammed in so much in his only 20 years too!! The kid of people we feel out of breathe just watching all they do!! I think there is a huge drive in some, and often they are gone so young...must be there for a reason.

    1. That is one of our favourite old series also Elizabeth. The scenery, the storylines, the animals, the slower sweeter way of life. It all appeals. So sad to read your brother was killed by a drunk driver. :-( I think if we pack as much as we can into each day then we have lived our lives worthily. I am a Jack of all trades Master of none kind of person I fear. xoxo

    2. Certainly nothing wrong with being a Jack of all trades...that is me too!! But I think in cooking anyway you are a master...and a way better artist than average too, for that matter...it seems GOD gives some talents to each of us...sometimes maybe even just for our own enjoyment!!
Thanks for your sadness about my brother. It was a long time before I was not bitter...and I still miss him a great deal. He and I had similar raising...and thus more in common...it is obvious that I really had next to nothing in common with the other 2 brothers who have forgotten I am alive. But I have come to believe that it was for MY best interest that they went away. I have learned you can wish others well from a distance. I am grateful for the good folks in my life...you know when you loose someone so needlessly, well, for any reason really, it will forever alter the path of your life and that of your family. ONE DAY however, none of that will matter anymore...at least we have that to look forward to!!

    3. Thanks Elizabeth. I don't imagine it is very easy to get over a loss in such a needless way. Drunk drivers are so selfish. ((((hugs))))) Yes we will all be reunited with our loved ones one day. What a glorious reunion that will be! xoxo

  2. When I focus on what matters, my faith, family and friends, then everything else falls easily in to place.

  4. Elizabeth..we think the driver that killed my 5 yr old sister had been drinking too..but it's information that was perhaps erroneously passed down to me..or I erroneously remember a detail..that is untrue.I know a stop sign went up shortly after:(

    1. My sympathy to you too, as we know first hand how impacted such a loss is to a family!! I hope your family, as mine has, takes comfort in the next life!! Alcohol is such an evil thing...yes, others I love do drink some, but for me it is not an option. I have never been able to do that, for to me, it brings back my loss!!

    2. Monique I am so sorry for your loss. What a tragedy. ((((hugs)))) Incredibly devastating. Your poor mother. It is heartbreaking to lose a child. You don't expect it at all. xoxo

  5. You always have such fun things to look at, ponder and realize you love most of them too. I do love the sound of ticking clocks; it comes from my childhood visits with my grandmother.
I do love fresh linen from the clotheslines and the smell when ironing them. No one irons much any more.
I love hearing the birds sing and I haven't heard a kettle on the stove for a long time.
I do Sunshine and thrive better when it is shining.
Oatmeal cereal is a favorite of mine.
The Cat photo is the best. I haven't had Macaroni and Cheese for a long time.
I do love old books and we have a number of them.
The Curtains and Coasters are adorable.
    Loved looking at it all!
    Sending prayers, love and hugs!
