My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become, inspire memories . . . maybe they will do the same for you!

Dessert For Two. Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream. I think next to Vanilla, Strawberry is my favourite kind!

Grow, Forage, Cook, Ferment.  Lilac Infused Honey.  The lilacs are blooming now.

From Britain With Love.  A variety of patterns. How to knit a cat.  Not free, but some are very cute.

Yarn and Hooks. How to crochet a Seashell Bag. Unusual.

Kwiki Slippers.  Love Crafts. Not free, but not expensive.  Knitted.

Crochet Dreamz.  Crochet Slippers.  Also not free.  I think they are quite pretty however.

Micro Gardner.  (I can't get the link to work.)  Using broken plant pots as garden markers.

A Journey to a Dream.  Milk Jug Watering Can.

Off the Grid. DIY Bee Watering Stations.

By the way I read yesterday that until the real flowers in your garden get growing you shouldn't use weed killer on dandelions as they are often the bees only source of pollen early in the season and weed killer, kills them too.

Natural Living Ideas.  10 perennial Herbs you can plant once and enjoy for years.   Unless you are married to a Todd who pulls them out in the spring thinking they are weeds.

House of Hawthornes. How to grow peonies your neighbours will envy.

The View From Great Island. Savoury Herb Shortbread and party printables (not that we will be needing those for a while.)

Home Spun Seasonal Living. Healing Salves you can make from weeds.

Cindy Hattersley Design.  Ideas for wrapping gifts with newspapers.

Bren Did.  Pine Vinegar for Cleaning.

Open House Miniatures. How to make a folding doll house.

All Things Paper. Delightfully tiny paper cuttings.

Play Dr Mom.  Make your own worry dolls.

Companion gardening . . .

Lissova Craft On Instagram.  Someone new to follow!  Her work is brilliant.  Tania Lissova

And those are my finds for this week.  I hope you found something here which interested you.

A thought to carry with you  . . .

Nothing new in the kitchen today.  My next door neighbour had sent over a bunch of ripe bananas and I made a Streusel Topped Banana Breadm but none of the photos turned out.  They all had a blue tint to them.  Its a mystery to me!

Have a wonderful Friday. The sun is shining here, but its quite cool out!  Don't forget!

    1. I found this Elizabeth.

You can make it five ways and all look fairly attractive.

There is this as well which I quite like and it comes in many sizes from xxs to xxl:

Finally, I have always liked this one:

Hope this helps! Love and hugs, xoxo

    2. Thank you Marie!!

    1. You are welcome Monique! I thought you might like that! xoxo

  3. I loved so many of your finds for today/ Good idea for recycling broken flower pots and milk jugs too. I copied what herbs to plant together as I've not got any herbs to plant yet, but will be doing so soon. I love having fresh herbs to cook with. So very flavorful ! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Stay healthy and safe at home !

    1. I have planted mine but not a lot showing yet! Love and hugs Happy Memorial Day! xoxo

  4. Would love to make the strawberry 🍓ice cream but I don't have an ice cream maker. Maybe by the time our Ontario strawberries are ripe in June, I'll have one. The knitted and crochet slippers are cute. And the wee bouquet of flowers remind me of the beautiful ones you made. I'm making Leek and Onion soup for dinner with egg salad and smoked salmon sandwiches. So good. Thanks for all this eye candy, Marie. You're the best. Hugs and much love, Elaine

    1. Oh, I know. I do have an ice cream maker, but I never have room in the freezer for the little pot you need to freeze ahead of time! Thanks so much for your faithfulness in commenting Elaine. Love you! xoxo

Your comments mean the world to me, and while I may not be able to address each one individually, each one is important to me and each one counts. Thanks so much!
