My Friday Finds

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become, inspire memories . . . maybe they will do the same for you!

I love to make my own seasoning mixes and spice mixes.  Things like Old Bay are not available here, but that doesn't matter because I can always make my own!

Love this. I would only add one word, learn. Where we live, laugh, love and learn. Lessons taught in the home are the most important ones of all.

Life made Simple, Sticky Asian Meatballs.  Looks fab!

I could not find the source pattern for these pot holders, but I love them.

Homemade Heather, crochet Christmas Ornament Garland. Cute!

DIY How To. Crochet Poppies.  There are a few options.  All Free.  Do still make a donation to the poppy fund however as they need them for the veterans.

Love Knitting.  Backporch Shawl.  Love this!

Darling Jadore.  Knitted T-shirt pattern. LOVE this.

Forest Friends Arigurumi Patter.  Free. Start Knitting. Looks easy enough!

Happy in Red. Hot Water Bottle Cover Tutorial.  Love this. So easy.

Duck Feet Baby Socks.  Free pattern on Cool Creativities.

And those are my finds for today.  I can't sit here much longer.  I had my Chiropracter Appointment yesterday.  I have four more appointments set up.  I am sore this morning, but also a bit better in an odd way. Still, it is hurting to stay in any one position for long. One thing I managed to do after the session was walk all the way across the city of Chester from the clinic to the bus stop, relatively pain free, until the very last bit. This is something I have not been able to do in a very long time. I have high hopes.  I go back again on Monday.

 A thought to carry with you  . . .

Nothing new in the kitchen today, but if you are interested in an old recipe . . .

Roast Pork with Sage & Potatoes. This is quite, quite delicious!

Have a wonderful Friday.  Mitzie has her yearly checkup and booster appointment today.  She has a lump on one ear and a funny growth on her tail I want them to check.  Hope it is okay.

  1. I was so happy to hear that your chiro appt seemed to help your back and you were able to do some walking, Marie. Lots of lovely Friday favourites. Such a pretty hot water bottle cover and sweet slippers. Love the crochet poppy but you're right about still making a donation. I like the British poppy with the green leaf that I see news people wearing on PBS News Hour. What are they made of? Is this the one you get when you make a donation to the Poppy Fund? I hope Mitzie has a good checkup. Enjoy your Saturday. Hugs, Elaine

    1. Thanks Elaine. Early days yet and my credit card is going to take a kicking, but you can't put a price on good health! Yes, the one with the green leaf is the one we get here for Poppy day. The poppy and leaf are made from paper, but there is a black plastic centre which holds it onto the green stem which is also plastic. There is a town near us that has poppies on every pole, and they have the names of one lost in a conflict on each one. Its a fabulous idea! Love and hugs to you always! xoxo

    1. I am a mix of pain today, in different spots, but not near as bad as it was, and I am feeling much more mobile. I am hoping that each treatment brings improvement. Your prayers are helping Pam! xoxo

    1. Yes, at least he thinks he can improve things for me. Wether it will be ongoing over time, is yet to be seen, but I am feeling quite optomistic! xoxo

  4. SO glad to hear that you are some better, Marie...it does hurt at first...but the pain should be less as you go through treatment!! I think the very best part of going to get adjusted for me, was that hot pack they put on my back for 20 minutes or so...my goodness that was helpful!! Hang in there!!
