My Favourite Things . . .

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOOPpfEd5Zsq2tbOc2-UBk6Njak8VrG7e7evggWXGZ2mh-j53ekFS5_iJ7oLR7meELGbGOHT1tpJoMRH-WDForIBx-F86puBU5K_uuGKf1hWiGc5Jko8kG6S71gFooUD3ZEZNrNzAWfJI/s320/alfp_favorite_things.png

A few of the things which catch my eye, inspire me, pluck at my heart strings, make me smile, or that I just enjoy.  Maybe they will do the same for you.

Anything shaped like a heart.  Stones, leaves, crafts, baskets . . . anything.

Geraniums.  I especially like red ones  . . .  still wanting them for my windowsil!

Ducklings   . . . . baby anything for the most part, except for bugs  . . .

Celtic and folk music.  I just adore it.  I could listen to it for hours.  The stories that are told . . .  I also love Bluegrass music.  Same thing  . . .  stories told.  Mystical  . . .  ethereal  . . . toe tapping . . .

Beautiful tins  . . .  old, new . . .  just love decorative tins.

Counted cross stitch samplers  . . .

Illustrated Poetry  . . .

Misty mornings  . . .  they usually foretell a fine day in the offing   . . .

Little wet noses  . . .

Cottage gardens . . . .  carefully unkempt . . .

A patchwork quilt to snuggle under  . . .

Owls . . .  they look so wise  . . .

Old typewriters  . . . I learned on one of these.  You needed some strength in your fingers . . .

Audrey  . . .  she had such class  . . .

Buildings filled with history and beauty  . . .  be they homes, public places, cathedrals, etc.

Story book cottages . . .  nibble nibble like a mouse . . .

Black sheep  . . .  I saw a whole flock of them once.  Near Chirk castle . . .

Anything Potter  . . . .

Forget me nots  . . . .

Stone gardens . . .  they fascinate me.  Who were these people.  They all had lives, stories to be told  . . .  hopes and dreams.  Plans. To do lists, never finished . . .

And those are my favourite things for this week.  What are some of yours?

A thought to carry with you  . . .
