My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become . . . Maybe they will do the same for you!
I have always loved this but have never been able to find the source, not ever.  I don't think it would be that difficult for an enterprising person.

Fish bowl key fob in felt.  A free pattern on Craftsy.  Cute!

Faithfully Committed.  How to do a Prayer Walk through your home.  I like the idea of a Christ centred home.  Todd always blesses our home.

I made a frameable picture for that purpose. It is one of the first things you see when you come into our home, much like when you go to the Temple, it is always on the outside of the temple.  We cannot carve it into our house, but we can let those who enter know that our home is dedicated to the Lord.  You can click on this and download it I think. If not, and you want one, let me know and I will e-mail you one.

Now this is interesting.  From The Creek Line House

Crazy Coupon Lady. 17 dusting hacks.  Some are ideas I would never have thought of!

How to unclog a sink!  I regularly put vinegar and baking soda down my sink drains to keep them smelling fresh.

Now, isn't this adorable!  I think I know a little girl who would love this.  From The Knotty Redhead. Unicorn Mane Headband.

You Tube. Terry's top tips for watercolourests.

Fibrelucious.  Leaf Brooch Tutorial.  Free.

From Jenny of Elephantz.  Totally free tutorial.  This is so pretty.

Sew Mag.  Free printable floral patchwork vase slip covers.

Adventures in PomPom Land. Bunny Tutorial from Sew Mama Sew.

Jennifer Murphy, Pom Pom Bunny Tutorial.  This is sooooo cute!  Adorable.

Tortelina.Tortelina  Bunny Ear Napkin folding.  A pictorial tutorial.

Peter Rabbit Applique. Crochet. From The Crochet Blog.

Sweet Softies.  This would be a great baby gift.  Something for them to snuggle with.

Kirsten Holloway Designs.  The Primrose & Proper Super Scarf.  Love this.

Crispy Cod Tray Bake.  From Woman and Home.  This looks delicious and healthy also.

From Janice Creates.  A Candy Hearts Shaker Card. This is so cute.

Sandy Toes and Popsicles.  A free printable Candy Hearts Valentines Day Banner.

No source. Just some pretty edging for some eye candy.  Love the fabric choices.

And those are my finds for this week.  I hope you found something you could use.  I am having a pretty bad diverticulitis attack this morning, so I am going to end this here.   Hope you have a lovely day.  With any luck will be back to fighting fit by tomorrow!  God bless!   And this would be the culprit. (Shoulda known better!)

In the kitchen today  Bean & Bacon Soup.  This is delicious.  (Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to eat it again!)

Happy Friday!  Don't forget!

  1. I was just thinking today about getting out my Easter decorations pretty soon. I like to enjoy them for alittle while. I don't have as many decorations for Easter as I do for Christmas. Lol. But it will be here before you know it! This year it's on April Fools Day! I think it should be on the next Sunday after.

I always wanted to try napkin folding bc it looks like fun and so creative.

I hope you feel better today Marie! When I have an upset stomach, I drink gingerale.

    Love and big hugs!~♥~

    1. It will be here before we know it Jan! I am not fond of the idea of Easter being on April Fool's day myself, but thats just the way it works out sometimes. I am sticking pretty close to the house today and not going far. I was going to go into town to get my passport photos done, but don't dare. Love and hugs, xoxo

The unicorn headband is sooo much fun! Those leaf brooches are lovely--nice way to use but craft scraps, bits & bobs. That needle case is so beautiful. I like Jenny of Elefantz designs. 3. Seeing those Valentine banners made me think to tell you about the ones I now have in my home. I bought some inexpensive banners to hang in the windows at New Years and have added some Paper Doily hearts to them for Valentines day. I'm thinking I can do this for every holiday so they'll become a permanent addition to my home. I've used magic tape so it won't be hard to change the additions around from one holiday to the next. I do believe in celebrating every day !

    1. Diverticulitis is no fun Monique! The weeks are flying by! It will be Easter before we know it! I don’t have any air fresheners, just candles. They lose their scent over time also! Bon weekend! Xoxo

  5. Hi Marie~

So sorry you aren't feeling well, diverticulitis is a bad thing... :0( I love bean and bacon soup, this recipe looks so good!

I love all the cute little bunny ideas, Easter is right around the corner isn't it...time sure does fly! It seems like I have just been running at full pace the last two weeks, I need something fun, like these little bunnies, to keep me busy.

So many cute ideas today, Marie! I really want the air freshener re-fill idea to work. I love my little plug-ins and I think it's better to have essential oil in them, than artificial fragrance.

We are still suffering with an endless cold and cough, so I have been using a diffuser with lots of feel-good scent in it, I hope it starts working soon.

    Have a wonderful Saturday!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

    1. I am sorry to read you are still suffering with endless cold and cough Barb! I was like that every year from about September until February, but the last few years I have gotten a flu shot and it has made a HUGE difference! Love you and hope it disappears soon!!! xoxo

  6. I hope you are up and about normal as always. Get better really quick; sorry! Sending prayers for you!
Thanks for all your fun finds. I will be checking out the links on more than one.
I really liked the dusting informaiton and how to unclog a sink. These ideas will help a lot.
I liked the idea of the pray walk through the home. I love that we can have a home dedicated by the priesthood. I love that you have the plaque with the words: "Holiness To The Lord". Our homes should be an extension of the temple.
Very cute headbands; I have some granddaughters that would love this one.
The vase slip covers area adorable; so colorful.
Thanks for all the cute bunny and Valentine ideas.
Sending prayers, loving thoughts and hugs your way!
