My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become . . . Maybe they will do the same for you!

I love any kind of vignette done in a tin.  This looks to be a Christmas card done in an altoid tin.  I could not find a source for it, but I love, LOVE it. Its that mini world thing that I love so much. I think it came from Art From The Heart, but I could not find it.

While She Naps.  Josephine Doll.  Free Pattern.  I love the bright colours.

Very Nice Stuffed Mice, a free pattern from Ann Wood.

Sew Style and Home, Sleepy Kitty with a tutu and sleeping bag.  Again, free.

Indulge with Mimi, Earl Grey Macarons with  a Lemon Swiss Buttercream, and free heart template.

Quilting Land, a free quilt pattern for the Green Acres Quilt.  Love the colours in this.

Paper Praises by Katie Harley, free download booklet on Bible Art Journaling.  Love it.

Just because  . . .  sigh  . . . .

Unicorns in the Kitchen.  Persian One Pot Tomato Rice.  This looks really good.

DIY Natural, Homemade Cleaning Wipes. These are great!

Cutsey Crafts.  Felt Butterflies.

How to make Liquid Laundry Soap from Soap Nuts.  Found on My Plastic Free Life.  This is a great page for anyone who is looking to use less plastic.

Ravelry.  I love this knitted cowl.  Not sure how hard it would be.

Ten common writing mistakes.  I need to study up on these.

Simple but cute Valentine Card.  From Winter Wonderland.  Could not find this specific card on the page, but it looks fairly simple.

Origami Heart Envelope video tutorial. Trahu DIY.   This is soooooooo sweet and looks really easy to do!

DIY SUgar Cubes for Afternoon Tea.  From The View from Great Island.  Love this girl.

Granny square Baby Blanket. Free pattern from Daisy Cottage Designs.

Easy Knit Dishcloth, free pattern from Typically Simple.

And there you have it.  My finds for this week.  I do hope you found something of interest!

A thought to carry with you  . . .

Grief I have learned is really just love.
Its all the love you want to give but cannot.
All that unspent love gathers up
in the corners of your eyes,
the lump in your throat,
and in that hollow place of your chest.
Grief is just love with no place to go.

I have often heard it said that grief is the price you pay for love.

BOOK OF MORMON CORNER - Today's Reading - Jacob 5: 1-18
Question -  What have you learnt from the reading today? In what ways does the Lord nourish you?

My Thoughts - "No matter if a tree grows to more than a thousand feet in height, each leaf, each day, must return to its roots for nourishment.” Rosemary Nelson

The master of the vineyard is in charge. His soul purpose is to save the tree in his vinyard, so that it does not perish. He wants it to bring good fruit. He plucks off the withering branches and replaces them with branches from other wild olive trees to preserve this tree. We must never forget the work and glory of our master is our immortality and eternal life. Trusting in Him and submitting to allow His will to make that purpose happen for us individually is vital, so that we don't decay, wither away and die spiritually.

I read this quote yesterday 'Please believe, and please take hope and comfort from, this eternal truth. Our heavenly father intends for us to make it. That is his work and his glory.' It was a nice reminder, and I find the same message of truth in these verses. The master of the vineyard says 'it grieveth me that i should lose this tree' and so he digs, prunes, grafts, nourishes, watches, burns, plucks - he works continually to save the tree he loves. This teaches me of the Lord's never ending efforts to help all of His children to return to Him.

I also love verses 15 and 16 'the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Come, let US go down into the vineyard, that WE may labour in the vineyard.' I have opportunities everyday to accept the call from the Lord to labour WITH HIM in the vineyard. This gives me nourishment and helps me grow.

Tomorrow's Reading (day 81) -  Jacob 5:19-34
Question - What is the fruit? Why do you think it is so important to the Lord?

Baking in the kitchen today, a delicious Almond Cake.  I love this cake.

Have a great Friday!  No matter what you get up to, don't forget!

  2. Hahaha! I'll have to show my Mom that doll bc her name is Josephine! I've only heard someone call a child that name once in a store.

I love quilts! I have a few I put out in the spring.

Those dish cloths are to pretty to use.

Marie, will you go to this website Sweet ReciPEAS and look around. She needs all the traffic she can get to pay for her husband's hospital bill.

She was at his Soccer game and he started to get sick. Luckily the hospital was 3 minutes away! She said he coded right in front of her! Having a heart attack! They took care of him right away and he's back home now, taking it easy.

She has alot of yummy things on her blog too!

I'm going to pray that her husband gets better and go look around on her blog some more too.

    Thanks Marie!~♥~

I see you have a few new blogs that I need to check out too.

Last week there was a blogger that passed away suddenly! She bought a house in the fall and moved back home near her family. She said she found the kitchen of her dreams and now she's gone! So scary! No wonder I haven't slept much lately! Plus this cake is making my tummy growl! Lol.

    Love and big hugs!xo
