BOOK OF MORMON CORNER -  2 Nephi 28:1-16
Question - What have you learnt from the reading today? Which of satan's false teachings, shown in these verses, can you see still going strong today?

What I learnt - Warning 🚨warning 🚨 time to think deeply inward now. This phrase, "fully ripe in iniquity", occurs in the Book of Mormon as a warning before destruction. This morning I wanted to turn everything said into questions. Do I treat that which is from God as no worth? Do I revile against that which is good? Do I cause contention with good people? When I teach do I teach pure doctrine? Am I proud? Do I allow myself  to follow the ideas and philosophies of men? Am I astray? Is fine clothing important to me? Is my home's decor important to me? Are theses things more important than financially supporting the poor? Am I proud? Do I pick and choose what commandments I want to keep? Do I believe that God doesn't mind me sinning a little bit? Do I believe You Only Live Once? (Well yes I do but not the way it's intended- You Only Live Once on earth like this, so make it count). Do I believe that God can work miracles in my life? Do I deny the Holy Ghost access in my mind and heart? Do I teach with my own learning? Do I build up my family unto the Lord or unto the world? Do we read the Book of Mormon as a family? Do I treat it like its of great worth? Is it precious to me? Does my family know it?

Tomorrow's Reading (Day 69) -  2 Nephi 28:17-32
Question - What have you learnt from the reading today? Why does the Lord teach us "line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little"?

In the Kitchen today . . .  Dried Apricots in Cardamom Syrup.  These are so very delicious.  A few of these on your breakfast oats will transform them into a fabulous treat!  They also make a great simple dessert, with some Greek Yoghurt, ice cream, etc.

Have a fabulous Friday.  Wherever you are stay safe and stay warm!  Don't  forget along the width and breadth of your day . . .

  1. I know how to crochet if only I could find the time, but knitting is another story. Lol.

One of the twins made me a washer necklace and I forgot and wore it to the store and got smirks from people. It was just a washer on some string. I've even gone to the store before with bows and barrettes all over my hair! I wanted the floor to open up so I could jump in! Lol. Another time they polished my nails all different colors and eye shadow, that my glasses couldn't even hide! After that we stuck to braiding my hair. Something that I could take out easily b4 running to the store b4 going home.

I bet my grandkids would love making button bracelets. While the girls would. Haha!

I love the white with green afghan Marie!

I'm mad at myself for not keeping all 5 crochet vests my Mom made for me. I only kept 2. A short rust colored one and a light blue one. I regret it so much! The other colors were pale yellow, red, wte, and blue and a purple one.
She also knitted mittens, scarfs and hats. Also doilies that I've never used and afghans. Somehow I was forgotten on that one. Sigh. My older sister made one with big needles that was a light pink and cranberry and gave it to me, which I still love.

Some day I want to go to King Arthur Flour's store. Especially when they are having a sale or a cooking class to take.

I have to get over being afraid of my pressure cooker. I use to watch my Mom use her old pressure cooker and that thing was scary! None of my sisters want that thing! Lol.

That carrot cake cheesecake looks so yummy! I haven't eaten carrot cake in along time!

    Love and big hugs!xo

  5. Hi Marie~

Tons of cute ideas today! I really love those cute bracelets made of buttons; I pinned that one for my Activity Day girls, they would love it!

That Crochet necklace is adorable - I wonder if I could pull that one off? I'm not really a lacy frilly girl, but I think it would be beautiful with a black skirt and a black top...so pretty. But, I might just have to make them for my granddaughters...;0)

My mother used to crochet the, Mile a Minute blankets, she was a working girl and they were easy to work on during her lunch hour and breaks. I think they are so pretty, I may have to try my hand at one.

I told Bob just the other day that we really needed to take inventory of our 72 hour kits. I know that there are probably a few things in them that need to be thrown out. I love the idea of a bucket - so many other uses for it.

What a yummy looking cheese cake - you can tell I'm feeling better, everything sounds good, especially sweets...oops, gotta stop that!

"Fully ripe in iniquity" What does that mean?! I guess all those questions should be answered to find the answer. I think it can have different meanings for different people and sins. Like...is fine clothing important to me? Well made clothing is, but not "fine" clothing, I think there is a difference, do you? Is my home decor important to me...yes, and no. I like things to be kept up, I don't like worn out, shabby looking decor. That said, most of my decor is very old, but nice. I don't spend a lot of money on home decor. Do I believe that God can work miracles in my life...YES, I have seen it happen with my own eyes! These are great, thought provoking questions. I really need to ponder and pray about some of them, and most likely make a few changes...;0) I love the Book of Mormon!

    Have a great Saturday!!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  6. Oh I did love your Friday Finds this week. Actually, I always enjoy them. I especially love the crochet ones and I actually made a blanket for my mother and mother in law years ago; like one of the photos. The button jewlery were adorable. I loved the crocheted necklace.
The 72 hour kits were great finds.
I think the grass mat place for a cat is an awesome idea.
The button bookmarks were so cute. I liked the button game too.
The questions on your Book of Mormon study were ones to really ponder; thanks!
    Blessings, love and hugs!

Thanks Tracy! I think that Luna would love the grass! If I ever have another cat I will do the grass! Xoxo

Oh dear Monique! If you tried larger squares maybe you would like it more! I bet your button bracelet is a real treasure. Even more so because of where it came from! Xoxo

I think you are right Barb! That necklace would be lovely with black clothing. Love your thoughts on the BOM! Love you! Xoxo

Thanks LeAnn! Blessings and hugs to you also! Xoxo
