Five minutes of your life you won't get back . . .

I  thought it would be fun to share some of the neat stuff, inspiring stuff I have seen on facebook with you today.  Probably you have seen some of the same things, maybe not.  Whatever the case, here I go.  What are your thoughts on it?

Our New Zealand  . . . Darth Vader shopping.  I can't tell if he has loo roll or not.  I do see flowers.  They're probably for Princess Leah.

The Queens English.  This page shares the nicest photos and poetry, etc.

“The window is open and a warm, delicious little breeze comes wandering in. It smells of magnolias and dogwood and it whispers in our ears enticing little stories of gurgling brooks and cool woods." ~Thomas Merton.

“Spring”, (1875) by John Atkinson Grimshaw- considered to be one of the most renowned painters of the Victorian era.

This was painted, by a lady, after an online group meditation, for world healing.....no brushes were used.....What do you see in this painting?

I see Jesus, no surprise there.

I thought this was nice.  In a world where the weaker ones are often seen as expendable, its nice to know they are not to everyone.

 Bunnies on scooters.  So cute.

A friend of mine and her daughter did litter picking up in their rural area.  Kudos to them!  But sad that there is this much litter in a rural area.

Fish and Chips from the Plough Inn Pub in Queensferry. Apparently they deliver.   Who knew?  A great way for a business who is not allowed to stay open during lockdown to still make a living.

It took me longer than a minute, but I did eventually find it.  Not sure what that says about me, either I am pretty thick or I am a genius. haha!

I don't drink wine, but it looks like a nice place to relax!  For the family that has everything.

Apparently these twins, born recently, have been given the names Corona and Covid, to help to remind them that they overcame adversity.  Love the sentiment, but hate the names. Utterly and totally.  Your thoughts???  People are strange. It takes all kinds  . . .

My friend Elizabeth created this.  And still people go out.  They think they are immune.  Its annoying.

My friend Joe made me laugh.  He often does.

So does my friend Maxine.

True dat . . .

Another friend is having problems with raccoons and her hen house  . . .  Apparently she put out a trap with an open can of sardines. He managed to avoid the trap and swipe the sardines. Smart raccoon.

Seen from a window in Connecticut . . .  that's a pretty big bear.

Looking on the funny side of things  . . .

Making sure the family is safe  . . .

Humour comes in many guises.  We all need a laugh right now.

You got to love it  . . .

LOL

My son posted this.  I thought it was funny . . .

And this  . . .

Its not all bad . . .

Also true  . . .  is it just me?

How I feel as a Latter Day Saint.  Spring General Conference begins today!  We're celebrating the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith's vision. It promises to be AMAZING!  If you have a couple hours to kill (and lets face it who doesn't these days) you could do a lot worse than to tune into this.

These are British times.  Adjust accordingly. In Nova Scotia that would be four hours earlier . . .  I, for one, can't wait!

Every night when I am changing into my night clothes, I look out our bedroom window onto the back garden and the empty lot, houses, etc. behind.  It seems like a strange new world.  I always shed a tear.  Who knows how long this will last. Hopefully it isn't forever, and hopefully when it ends we will all emerge as better people, more away, kinder, more loving, more forgiving, more generous, more aware . . .  just better . . .

A thought to carry with you  . . .

In The English Kitchen today  . . .  Cinnamon Roll Waffles. On the table in less than half an hour and oh so tasty!  Simple!

Have a wonderful Saturday. Its supposed to be nice and sunny this weekend.  Maybe we will crack open the BBQ. We'll see  . . .  Don't forget!

  3. What would we do without facebook. So many smiles there, better than crying for sure. We have to put a little humor into our lives.

  5. We need to keep our sense of humour. I really hope the parents of those precious babies change their minds about what they are naming them. I to think it would be a life-long burden for them. And I shudder to think of the nicknames they might acquire. Enjoy your General Conference. It's Palm Sunday but no church services. Seems very strange. Hugs and love, Elaine
