My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become . . . maybe they will do the same for you!

She's so cute. The animals are cute too, especially the dog.  I believe that one day we will all have to account for how we treated others, even animals, especially animals.  ♥♥♥

My heart just skipped a beat!  So sweet.

Bumble Bee Earrings . . .  Yes!

Something to fire the imagination . . . its a children's book, but  . . .  sometimes I like to read children's books . . .

Dispatched my first wasp of the year yesterday afternoon. It was so mild yesterday, a beautiful day weatherwise really.  There it was sitting on top of my dishrag.  I hate to kill anything, but this was a case of who strikes first  . . .  him or me.  I noticed him before he noticed me and the can of wasp spray was quickly dug out.  He was HUGE!

Watching an old episode of CTM last night and it was the one where Chummy ministers to her mother who is dying of cancer.  Crying bucket loads of tears.  I always cry anyways when I watch that show, but last night was the worst  . . .

E-mailed my Editor one last time yesterday.  Still no response.  I wonder if I should e-mail my nemesis and ask her is she has heard from him.  I strongly suspect however that she has swallowed up all the air in the room and that is why I haven't heard from him . . .  but I could just be paranoid.  I do know she was the reason my book got delayed in the first place . . . for sure. Too much competition.

Gathering all of my components and putting on finishing touches, etc.  Still need to attache the key to the pocket so it doesn't get lost.  Decoupage the dress holder.  Make a house of cards.  Paint the toadstool, fabricate a pocket watch, put the Drink Me note on the bottle and finish decoupaging the box.  Sounds like a lot more than it actually is.

I am totally in love with those tiny shoes  . . .

A thought to carry with you  . . .

  1. Hi Marie, having a big catch up this morning, didn't realise I was so far behind! Hope Todd is feeling better and that your oven will soon be fixed or replaced.

I had my brother staying with me last weekend and then we had relatives from Jersey and this weekend we're down to London to see Christian. I can't wait for some peace and quiet!

I'm taking my sister to Liverpool today to meet my daughter for lunch which will be nice. It's so much easier when there's three of you as Isabella is prone to wandering off, you can't take your eyes off her. But having said that it's lovely when it's just the two of us and we can reminisce to our hearts content!

It looks like a gorgeous, hot sunny weekend is on the cards so make the most of it!

    Lot's of love xxx

  2. We have done the 3-day diet and not too bad if you put your mind to it. Not a total 10 lbs. loss however.

Terrible storms today but still Good Friday. Will be going to church for Meditation of the Seven Last Words from 12-3 either way. Hope your Good Friday was a good one in the UK!

    1. I could probably do it if I tried really hard! I have little to no will-power however. Sigh . . . hope your storms are not too bad! Happy Easter! xoxo

  3. Love the looks of that dessert...what is not to like? Also, hearing of the wasp in the house...oh my...makes my hair stand on end!! I never go hunting for insects outside...but if on my doorstep or inside...they made the wrong choice. And are dispensed quickly!! One dog we had was right on any insect that came around and once a mouse decided to pay a visit...it never returned...that dog was on it in a second and I opened the door and it gladly ran to the neighbors!! heehee...

    1. I can abide just about anything in the house save spiders and wasps. I don't like either. I won't kill a spider. Todd usually gets them and puts the outside, but wasps are fair game! Happy Easter Elizabeth! xoxo

    1. I have e-mailed her to see if she has heard from him. Not too long ago she announced a second book was in the offing. If she has heard from him or not will tell the tale. I am itching to get the Alice in Wonderland Box finished. It is a slow and steady process, but I am enjoying the whole exercise my dear friend! xoxo
