  1. Hi Marie, lovely favourites again today!

I hope you don't have to go out today, it looks treacherous out there. Obviously nothing compared to America, my heart goes out to them.

I was in London yesterday for a hospital appointment. I've decided to go private to get my foot operation. Although I love the NHS they cancelled my op twice last year and I had to cancel the 3rd cos thats when we were going to New York for the wedding. If I go back to them I've got to start from the beginning and it'll take months for the operation date to come through. So now, after much research, I'm getting it done in 2 weeks time. I'm having so many problems with it and it's so painful I just want it done, even though it's a long recovery. So I'll be like a mad woman now trying to get everything done before I go!!

Stay warm and cosy, lot's of love xxx

    1. Thanks Kate! I remember you putting off your foot operation because of the wedding. Time flies. I think if we had the money we would go private for most things also. We are still blessed to have the NHS, but they seem to cancel lots of things these days. There is nothing worse then psyching yourself up to have something done only to have it canceled again and again. It has happened to friends of mine! You stay warm and cosy also. Praying you are able to get everything done that you can before then! Is there anything I could do for you? Love and hugs, xoxo

    1. When I was in Grade 5 Monique, my mother bought me an outfit from the Sears Catalogue that I totally loved. It was a pink jumper with a v neck top, pleated bottom and a belt. It came with a white blouse which had ruffles and lace that went all down the v-neck of the jumper and 3/4 sleeves with a ruffle lace trim. OH how I loved that outfit! I felt like a princess! Not surprised we like many of the same things sweet friend. xoxo

    1. Thanks very much Teri! I am 63, so you probably are not older than me, but I doubt in any case I am old enough to be your mum. Love and hugs, xoxo

  4. Hello Marie -Thanks for your blog entry today - so beautiful. I also love all the things you mentioned - many nostalgic, especially the bunny pillows and lily-of-the-valley. I have a tiny one in my back yard that always seems to struggle each year to bloom. Perhaps too much shade? It is partly overshadowed by a tree. This winter for the first time I brought in a geranium plant from my front yard to keep it alive. I barely caught it before the frosts came - it was hardly more than a bundle of sticks. Now, several weeks later, it has three bunches of blooms just about to burst open any day! So hoping you are feeling more at peace from the upheavals of late.

    1. I think we are all just treading water Elizabeth. Death comes so suddenly. I don't think we are ever prepared to lose our loved ones. Thank you. xoxo
