Friday Finds

A few of the things which I find each week that inspire me to want to do something, create, think, etc. I hope that you will find something that will also interest you!

From Sew Can She, a lovely little lunch tote.  You can buy one similar to this from Kath Kidston, but I am sure making your own would be a lot cheaper! A free pattern.

Style Me Pretty.  A cute DIY Hostess apron.  Free pattern.  I can't think of anyone who wouldn't love this.

True Blue Me And You.  Safety Pin Bracelet.  Very pretty.  A video tutorial.

Graceful Little Honey Bee.  25 recipes your grandmother knew by heart.  There are so me really good ones!

The Ribbon Retreat.  Fabric Covered Notebook Tutorial.  Love the fabrics!

Eat a Rainbow!  Rainbow Pizza from Gimme Delicious.  This has a cauliflower crust. Low carb and packed with veggies.

Oh Happy Day.  Free Printable Ice Cream Truck Tags.

Kids Craft Room.  Printable flying Superman Father's Day Craft for the kids.

Mile a Minute Baby Afghan. From Who wants to be Martha. Love the ice cream colours!

Hand embroidered dainty days of the week tea towels. A pattern from Sublime Stitching. Not free, but not expensive either.

I really, really like these ones. I could not find a source, but there is plenty of inspiration here.  Love the fabric edging.

Adding lae to the bottom of a pullover.  I never thought of this.  I love the idea.  Eye candy. No source.

How to dry citrus fruit for decorations.  From Rainy Day Mum.

Red Ted Art. DIY Fidgit Spinners.  These are all the rage at the moment.  The Clackers of the Millennium.  (Remember Clackers?  Who doesn't remember those knuckle whallopers! Ouch!!)

Tis the season!  Bored Jar.  From Frugal Family

And those are my finds for this week!  Hope you saw something to inspire!

Its bucketing down rain today.  Glad I got my laundry done and hung out yesterday. (Boy does it smell good!)  Mitzie is off to the groomers today.  I might go, but I might not.  I might try to do a tutorial for the dish cloths.

Thought you might enjoy seeing the joy felt when a Missionary returns home after being gone for two years.  Mommy hugs.  Such a tender photo.  This is Elder Atkinson, who was one of my favourite Missionaries that served in our zone and who we got to work with.  I know . . .  they are ALL my favourite missionaries. lol

A thought to carry with you through today  . . .

  1. Hi, Marie! Good to catch up with you! I'm behind on visiting this week...it's just flown by! It was fun to see the crochet you are working on, in your previous post. Would love to see a tutorial for your cloths! Just love all the crafty projects you've shared here today. Those day-embroidered tea towels are so pretty--almost too pretty to use. ;) The lace-edge jumper is a lovely idea! And the Rainbow pizza...mmm... and your apple tart looks delicious! Hope you all have a happy weekend there! June already...summer just around the corner! :))) ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))

  7. The year is fast disappearing Tracy! It's being swallowed up. I have been trying to enjoy every day that I can as much as possible. Raining here today, but we have had som splendid weather all told. I hope we have good weather when we are in Scotland! Love and hugs to you, TJ and Luna! xoxo

I know, what a tender tender photograph Monique. It made me cry because I know Elder A and I have been in touch with him mom throughout his whole mission and I know how much she was looking forward to his homecoming! I have done all the photos for the tutorial, so look for it soon! It's quite an undertaking! What a lovely apron! Love, LOVE it! xoxo

Thanks Linda!I am a lace lover! xoxo

Those fidgit spinners are very popular here Pam. I don't get the appeal myself, but kids seem to love them! Happy Friday! xoxo

It's been raining here all day Sybil! Mitzie came back from the groomers smelling gorgous! I took advantage of her absence and washed all her blankets while she was out! God bless! xoxo

  8. I love all the missionaries we have been privledged to serve with so it's hard to pick a favorite. I must admit there are some extra special ones.
I loved all your finds. In fact, I am going to spend some time on P-Day and look at some of the links. You do find such fun stuff.
The Apron with the pockets is so cute. The lunch boxes are cleaver too.
The Safety pin bracelets; so fun. I really love the crocheted baby blanket. I just finished one for my 5th great granddaughter who was blessed today. I stayed up until almost 3:30 am to finish it last night.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way! Love you dear girl~
