Love is . . .

You'd Think That People Would Have Had Enough
Of Silly Love Songs.
But I Look Around Me And I See It Isn't So.
Some People Wanna Fill The World With Silly Love Songs.
And What's Wrong With That?
I'd Like To Know,
'Cause Here I Go Again
I Love You,

 I Love You,

I Love You,

I Love You . . .

I Can't Explain
The Feeling's Plain To Me;
Say Can't You See?
Ah, She Gave Me More,
She Gave It All To Me
Now Can't You See,
What's Wrong With That
I Need To Know,
'Cause Here I Go Again

 I Love You.

I Love You.

I love you,

Love Doesn't Come In A Minute,
Sometimes It Doesn't Come At All
I Only Know That When I'm In It

It Isn't Silly

No, It Isn't Silly

Love Isn't Silly At All

How Can I Tell You About My Loved One?

How Can I Tell You About My Loved One?
How Can I Tell You About My Loved One?

I love you  . . .
How Can I Tell You About My Loved One?
I Love You  . . .
(Silly Love Songs, Paul McCartney)

I love my husband and I respect what we have together.   My marriage is sacred and a gift from God.   I will not have what we share together sullied by what the world perceives to be love.  I will honor my husband in other ways as he will honor me . . . with values that are wholesome and good . . .  and eternal . . . and filled with respect for each other and for what we share together.

That is the type of love that families are built upon and the type of love which is a solid foundation for everything else and does not leave you wanting or seeking  . . . more.  It satisfies . . .  completely

Anything else is just an imitation . . . second rate.   I will not settle for anything less than what we already have together . . . .  because this is for forever  . . .  not just for now.

Happy Valentines Day!

Please share a few prayers today for our friend Suzan and her family who lost their dear father/grandfather/husband yesterday.  Also for my friend Pete and his family who lost their dear wife/mother/grandmother Carol yesterday also.

BOOK OF MORMON CORNER
Today's Reading - Mosiah 4:16-30
Talk - Jeffrey R Holland - 'Are we not all beggars?'
Question - What have you learnt from the reading today? How are we all "beggars"?

My thoughtsI loved reading this today. What a wake up call! We must help anyone no matter what or how they are struggling because we are all beggars. We all rely on Him for everything we have. I thought it was very important when it said 'I would that ye should impart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to THEIR wants. I honk that word THEIR is very important. Not what we want to give but what They stand in need of. I hope I can give whenever I can and think more of others needs. I'm so grateful for all I have and love that living in the Saviours way saves me from harm. Because I have been given much I too must give.  There, but for the grace of God go I.

Tomorrow's reading (Day 101) -  Mosiah 5:1-15
Question - What happened before the people entered into a covenant? What was the covenant?

In the English Kitchen today  . . .  Rhubarb Upside Down Cake.  Scrumdiddlyumptious!

Have a lovely day, may it be sweet and filled with love.  Don't forget along the way!

  4. Awwwwww! Loving all the pictures of your family Marie!

I'm so sad to hear you have even more losses!

That rhubarb is so pink, I bet it doesn't taste as sour as the ones we had! Lol. I use to have some growing in my backyard, but the neighbors kids grabbed it before I could bake with it. But otherwise they were good kids. I did get to eat it before they move in the apt house across my yard.

Suze, if your reading this I'm deeply sorry for you lossing your Dad! You will be in my prayers. Virtual hug!xo

    1. Thanks Jan. Rhubarb is always lovely and tart, no matter when you have it! My mom used to treat us in the summer time to a tiny bowl of sugar and a stick of rhubarb. It would keep us busy for hours. Natures pixie stix! I am sure Suzan appreciates your prayers. Love and hugs xoxo

  5. Happy Valentines Day to you two and Mitzie too! I loved the lyrics with all the awesome family photos. I especially love the photo of Todd in the tree; so cute.
Our forever kind of relationships is the best ever even with the up's and downs. The gospel gives such a firm foundation.
I will pray for your sweet friends that lost a precious loved one. I like the thought of the twinkling stars.
Powerful thoughts on having true charity and loving others and giving as we can and should. Yes, "Are we not all beggars."
Sending warm thoughts, Valentine wishes, love and hugs your way!
