My Favorite Things . . .

A few of the things that make me smile, bring happiness and joy, and make my heart go pitter pat. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I say it's worth a thousand smiles.

My new bag!  This adorable bag combines three of my favorite things. Red and White Toadstools. Polka Dots.  My sister.  My sister surprised me yesterday with this bag that she made for me!  I love LOVE it! It has two fabulous pockets inside. Large enough to hold my phone and my small hymnbook. My scriptures will fit easily in the center area, as well as there being space for other things.  It's not too big. Not too small. The sewing on it is impeccable and I just think it is the cutest thing ever. Best of all it was created by and out of my sister's love for me! I was so surprised and touched that she made this for me.  Thank you, sis!  She really makes the most beautiful bags and wallets, cross-body phone cases, key fobs, etc. Her work is faultless.

Brown Eggs. I try to only buy brown eggs and free range if I can.

This. If you truly live this principle, you can't really go wrong.

My appointment at the Doctors' went well yesterday. I have NAFLD. Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. But in the very early stages. I can control it with dietary changes and changes in lifestyle. I will need to have it checked every year.  I do need to go have a few more tests just to rule out hepatitis, etc. I was quite relieved that that was all it was. I can handle this.

A thought to carry with you . . .

  2. Such an adorable bag from your talented sister. You can certainly manage fatty liver disease. Love free range eggs, our neighbouring farmer's daughter comes around in the better weather selling them, so much tastier. Well worth the little extra in pay to get them. We have a writing desk similar to that too, but not as ornate on the flap. Heavy rain warning today so we went out extra early to beat it. Have a happy day filling your new bag.
