My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things I find each week that strike my fancy. I hope they strike yours too.

Stay at home Spa Day.  Cathy Filian. Make your own Body Scrubs, Lip Balms and soap!

A Granny Motif market bag. Loving the colours. From Lion Brand. A free pattern.

9 Easy ways to get more counterspace.  I can use all the help I can get in this area. From That Vintage Life.

Red Ted Art.  A simple Easter Chick paper decoration.  This is so cute!

Mini Charm Square Patchwork Placemats.  From Sew 4 Home.

I just love these Chicken Pot Holders.  Love the colours and the fabrics and the way their combs are 3D.  From Sew Inspired. No pattern, just eye candy.

The Idea Room. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Easter Bunnies.  So cute!

Crafts by Amanda. Crochet your own Slipper Sandles.  Neat!

Panda Hall. Friendship Bracelets.  A ton of them.  Nice.

Coconut Bunny Cake Tutorial. Jenny Steffens.  I could not find the actual tutorial.

Bunting from old books.  Again, no source, but how hard could it be?

Free Downloadable Woodland Stamps.  From Paper Crafter.

Bunny Cookies and Milk.  From Munchkin Munchies.  These are so cute!

10 Veggies you can grow indoors.  From Moody Mooch.

Old Time Pottery.  Easter Bunny and Chick Pretzels.  Cute!  How do people think these things up!

And those are my finds for this week.  I hope you found something of interest here.   So sorry for my absence of a few days.  I have really felt lousy, and today is the first day I have felt half human again.  I was taking all the wrong things and they were conflicting with the meds I am on for my Blood Pressure and Diabetes. We finally got the right ones and I am starting to feel a lot better. Its been no fun!  and I have still had to work on the book, which I am happy to say I only have 1 1/2 chapters to finish plus the introduction.  Whew!  Talk about working right down to the wire.  I have until the 28th still, but . . . time passes so quickly!

Todd only has two more treatments to suffer.  Today and then on Monday.  After his treatment on Monday he will see his radiographer and we will see what happens next.  He is starting to feel pretty tired now, but his appetite is good and so far there has been no burning on his skin, etc.  He isn't too happy about the fact that he feels he has to go pee every five minutes, and then can only do a little tinkle.  It keeps him in and out of bed almost all night, which is probably adding to his tiredness.  Thank goodness we are nearing the end and God willing that will be it!

Plus I got asked to try out for another television show.  I am far too long in the tooth for that now.  I am the most un-photogenic person on the face of the planet.  I am enjoying my life just as it is.  I have no desire to be out there.  I am happy with things are they are thanks.

A thought to carry with you through today  . . .

In The English Kitchen today.  Baked Honey and Soy Chicken. Finger licking good!

Have a great Friday.  Don't let the world get you down.  There is a lot of bad stuff going on out there, but there is also a lot of good stuff.  Look for the helpers.  There are always helpers doing positive things in every situation.  Don't forget . . .

  1. Glad you're back in the land of the living. A lot going on for you. Thank goodness Todd's treatments are almost over and no burning!!

You should accept the invite for the TV show. Look at some of the other faces on tv!!! Your face will be always smiling and it is the character that everyone remembers. You would do well I'm sure.

  2. Hi, Marie! Soooo GLAD you are feeling a little bit better! That must have been very hard taking the wrong medications and all... Hope you'll be on the mend soon! And so very glad Todd is soon done those treatments. Hoping, and praying, so much that he will receive a good bill of health! :) VERY flattering with the invite to go on TV. I admire your view on that though. So many fun things here today. I like those cute paper birds... and the ways to gain extra space in a kitchen--I need some of that in our small space! Happy Weekend to you all there... Be taking good care, and feeling better soon! ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))

  7. Yay! So glad ur Todd is almost done with his treatments! I don't let anyone take pictures of me bc I take the worse.pictures.ever. That might be just what u need though to promote ur cookbook. I've seen other bloggers go on tv and cook something from their cookbook. See they know that ur an excellent cook and baker and they want everyone else to know too! I'm sooo excited for u that great things are happening for you! I'll have to show my oldest sister the pretzel ones, so she can add them to her goodies she brings to work. She needs some happiness in her life bc her youngest son has uncurable cancer! It hurts my heart to even write it though. He takes meds and he's sick for 4 days then 4 days he's better. He got married 5 yrs ago finally finding his true love. I love all the things that made u happy this week and so glad ur starting to feel better! Jan

  8. Thanks Linda, and also for your vote of confidence. There was a time maybe 10 years ago when I would have happily gone for the TV option, but I am at a point now where I sincerely have no desire for that or the hamster wheel it would put me on. Nice to know I could if I wanted to though! xoxo

Thank you so much Suzan! Happy you enjoyed your cruise and are safely back home! xoxo

Thanks Pam! We have fared much better than we thought we would and hopefully all will be well! Your prayers matter a lot to us! xoxo

Di, I hope your husband gets his op soon and all is well. Praying to that end! xoxo

You get me Monique, and I can totally assure you I am far more unphotogenic than you will ever be. Aging is never kind unless you are very lucky. Mr T says hello! xoxo

Thanks Jan! I am so SO sorry to read about your nephew. I will add him to my prayer list. ((((hugs)))) xoxo

Your comments mean the world to me, and while I may not be able to address each one individually, each one is important to me and each one counts. Thanks so much!
