As always some great ideas Marie...what a beautiful, shawl that is. I wish that I still, enjoyed knitting ...and still do, in my imagination !!...but soon after I start to knit my fingers object and swell up so,it's not good, I am going to try today to,knit a poppy someone asked us at the coffee and chat if we might contribute crochet or knitted Poppy's which are going to be laid along the high street in Corsham leading to what used to be the maternity hospital, during the war that the council are recreating presumably in November....val our neighbour has already done dozens...Mary is helping by making black tiny bobbles for the centres...Val gave her a small bobble maker...that will keep her happy..
ReplyDeleteHope that you have a nice weekend, weather forecast is a bit mixed...now I'm away to make my breakfast, no need to wait for Mary this morning...her flight was an hour late taking her up,to,Edinburgh but jenny her friend had checked before leaving home so didn't go for her till later xxx
Good morning Marie and hugs for your poor hands Sybil. My hands do not cope with calligraphy anymore but I can still knit and crochet (if i use a specific hook)
ReplyDeleteI am mad for shawls of the tiny type at present and finished my first one this week. I am not great at following the patterns those. Thank you for sharing all those delightful finds. I will have a Friday evening fun time. Tonight I will begin my annual tour around France while watching the riders..
God bless.
Yes many are celebrating a long 4th of July weekend here starting today. I'm babysitting on of my grand dogs. Hope your Friday is a fantastic one !
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous worthy cause Sybil! And how wonderful that Mary is able to help with it. I am glad to read she got off okay. Enjoy your time on your own. I am sure you will be glad of the break in a way, but will also miss her company! I know how you feel with your hands as my hands also protest if I use them too much for knitting or crocheting! Kind of a bummer, but I do what I can. Love and hugs and enjoy your weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Tour de France Suzan! I remember when we were down in Kent that last summer we were there the Tour De France went right past our door! Very exciting! I am wanting to knit or crochet some neck hiders for the winter! Watch this space! God bless! xoxo
