In the kitchen today . . . Sweet Onion Vinaigrette Dressing. So yummy!
It's a beautiful sunny day out there today. Everything always seems better on a sunny day don't you think? I slept well last night but woke up about 4 a.m. with nightmares. I did manage to fall back asleep, but then started having bad dreams again an hour or so later. Dreams . . . you just can't control them can you? I wish!
Cindy and I had a great day yesterday. It's always nice to spend the time together. I did not spend much money actually. My wants were very few, but I did get some of that pineapple in coconut water I have been craving!
Have a lovely day! Be happy! Don't forget!

ReplyDeleteThanks Monique! I follow some really nice accounts on Tumblr. I don't think the younger generation is very sentimental at all. It's a different world! xoxo
DeleteBeautiful favourites today, Marie. Your little Bramley Hedge Mouse is adorable. Glad you and Cindy had a nice outing. I must tell you how much we loved your Carrot/Potato soup. I added some cubes of the leftover pea meal bacon roast from Easter. Very good addition. Have a great day. Love and hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Elaine! I am so pleased you enjoy the soup! It is a real favorite here and your addition of the peameal bacon sounds perfect! Lov and hugs to you always! xoxo
DeleteOH my that dressing looks so yummy...was imagining it using Walla Walla sweet onions...the VERY best onion in my opinion. Rarely ever see them here on the East Coast of course as not great for shipping. When we lived in WA state there was a bumper crop one year and they were sweeter than celery. I dehydrated at least a dozen quart jars of them...and sort of sparingly used them over the next 10 years...yep, they kept that long. Wishing I could buy some dehydrated ones even tho of course, fresh is best. They say you can grow them elsewhere but the best taste is from Walla Walla, WA area and it is true!!
ReplyDeleteHUGS, Elizabeth xoxo
That must have been a lot of work Elizabeth, but well worth it I am sure! I think I may have tasted Walla Walla, but am not sure! Maybe when I lived out West! Hugs, xoxo
DeleteLove, love the little Brambly doll, you are so talented….So nice to have a day with a sister and just enjoy each other. 💕
ReplyDeleteLovely favorite things today…that cottage! Best, Virginia
Thanks so much Virginia! I wish I had more time to play these days. I used to make lots of different dolls! xoxo
DeleteHi, Marie! We are of similar heart and mind, I think... ALL of these are things I very much appreciate too! I loved the Brambly Hedge books! Your Brambly doll--sooo sweet! I just love that room with the cosy corner with books, sofa for reading--I'll take that! Maybe that room is in a thatched cottage by a river--I'll take all of that too... :) Great to catch up with you today... and hope you have a good weekend ahead! MUCH LOVE--Tracy
ReplyDeleteI am with you right in that room in a thatched cottage by the river! haha Much Love to you and TJ as well! xoxo
