FOR TODAY, March 18th, 2025

OUTSIDE MY WINDOW ...

I took this photograph late yesterday afternoon. We had such a beautiful warm day yesterday. 19*C/66.2*F. I read online that it was the warmest spot in Canada. The wind was really blowing all the dry leaves leftover from the fall about. The cats were really enjoying watching them zoom by and dance on the deck. It was fun watching them watch the leaves.

I AM THINKING ...

I was up really early this morning; not sure I am thinking all that much really.  Or at least, not deeply about anything. I slept really well last night.  I went to bed about 9:30 and then said my prayers, read a bit, watched a bit of stuff on the iPad, etc. Went to sleep and then didn't really wake up until 5 a.m. which is a good solid night's sleep for me. I think I was asleep by about 11 p.m.  I was up pretty early, but I will probably have a nap of some sort this afternoon.

I AM ALSO THINKING ...

I didn't put my garbage out yesterday afternoon because it was really windy, and I didn't want it blowing all over the place. I put it out when I got up this morning and it is raining. (Garbage day = rain or some sort of precipitation.) As I was getting my shoes on I noticed that there was an amazon package on my doorstep.  Huh? anyways I went to unlock my door and realized that my door had been unlocked all night. I hate it when that happens. Usually, I check my doors before I go to bed, just to make sure. Last night I didn't. I was very lucky that nothing happened.  God is good.

 

IN THE KITCHEN ...

One Banana Banana Bread. The perfect banana bread to bake when you have only one overripe banana sitting on the counter. No need to throw it into the freezer. Whip up this smaller sized banana bread. Rich, moist and delicious with a lovely cinnamon sugar crust on top.

WHILE I AM AT IT ANOTHER THING I AM THINKING ABOUT ...

The "Jump To" button. I know that this makes things a lot easier for people visiting the page, but it does make me nervous because my income is directly tied to the amount of time people spend on my page.  I do put a lot of helpful information in the write up above the recipe, hints, tips, etc.  It is not just waffle.  I am a bit concerned that this will directly affect my income and as the income derived from this page is pretty much 90% or even more of what I have to live on, this is a real concern.  I am trying not to worry about it.  I do have a great faith in my Heavenly Father and He hasn't dropped me yet.  I am living that scripture where the man says, "Lord I believe, help thou, my unbelief."  It's like I am trying to have faith here Lord, but in those moments when that might falter a bit, please help me to keep holding up.

Life.  I enjoy my life. All of the ups and the downs, the joy and the sorrow, the pain and the pleasure, all of it.  I am blessed to be able to enjoy my life. You only get one, might as well enjoy it!

I love it when she gets up onto the sofa and lays next to me. It doesn't happen very often but when it does I feel blessed.

I WISH ...

    I wish that the world was a more peaceful place. That the lion would lie down with the lamb. That people would just be nicer, kinder. That children didn't go to bed hungry, or afraid, or alone.  That people could just get along with each other. That they could find a cure for cancer. That love was what prevailed rather than hate. That the Savior would return. He will soon. Then all will be well.
