My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become, inspire memories . . . maybe they will do the same for you!

Toys by Knit Friends.  Have you ever seen such a cute bear?  I know!  Adorable. Not free but not expensive. Complete pattern and tutorial and the seller has great reviews. I am tempted.

And if you weren't already tempted, look at this.  So adorable.  I am sorely tempted now!

From Buzzfeed.  Nine easy spice blends. I love making my own spice blends!

Todolwen, crocheted stars tutorial.  Love this blog.  Lots of lovely free tutorials.

Jen Hay's Creations.  Gift Card Stockings.  There's still time!

5 Little Monsters.  Crocheted Nativity Set.  Free pattern. If you started now, you could have it done for next year?   Cute!

Craftsy.  Spiral scarf. Not free, but not expensive either.

The Diamond Exchange on Ravelry. Not free but not expensive either. I really like this.

Brighter Craft.  70 creative Elf on a Shelf ideas.  I wish they had had Elf on a shelf when my children were growing up.  This would have been fun.

Taste of Home. 60 Old Fashioned Christmas Cookies.  Right from Grandmother's recipe box.  I want to try a few of these!  I want to bake them all, but I must refrain.

Make your own Ranch Dressing Mix, Taco Seasoning Mix, and Dry Onion Soup Mix.

I can't link up because its not available in my country. (Thank you EU) but this is a fab cheat sheet to making delicious salad dressings.

Golden Lucy Crafts.  Crochet Dog Scarf.  Cute!

Posh Pooch Designs.  Christmas Pickle Ornament.  Cute and she also tells where the tradition started, etc.

Sugar Bee Crafts.  Mason Jar Snow Scene.

Immune Booster Juice. No link.

This could come in handy.  Again no link available but you can pin it to a board for future reference.

Tater Tots and Jello.  How to organise crafts.  I got to meet Jen Jen in person some 11 years ago or so now. She is the one who picked me up at the airport in utah when I flew over to American for the Winter International Special Olympic Games. Such a  nice, nice, nice person!  I met her mom too!

Facts about cheese melting.  Good to know.

Diabetic Living Online. Roasting times guide.

This could also come in handy.

And for when you don't have the right sized pan you need from Clabber Girl.

And that is that for today!  I had my final PIP interview yesterday to see if I can get the Personal Independance Payment and I am quite hopeful that I will be able to get something at least.  Fingers crossed!

It is raining cats and dogs again today.  I had wanted to go to Gordale to stock up on some cards, but we'll see.

A thought to carry with you  . . .

I don't know where I would be without faith.  Sometimes its the only thing which helps to keep me moving forward.

Cooking with leftovers today, Pork & Rice Casserole.  This is fabulously tasty!

  2. Hi Marie, I wish I could crochet - so many cute patterns. I like the cheese melting chart and the roasting times for veggies - so helpful - and the cheat sheet for salad dressings. Today, I'm concentrating on wrapping gifts but breakfast first and a quick look at the paper. Hope your PIP comes through. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Elaine

I especially liked all the cooking guidelines. I am hoping in the New Year to cook a little more and a bit healthier. Although, I don't think we do bad, I think we can improve. I felt inspired tonight by your helpful finds.
