A few of the things in life that make my heart go pitty pat. Maybe they will do the same thing for yours. ♥♥♥

Cheese on Toast with Bacon. Sometimes its a kraft singles on the bottom, sometimes its just good old cheddar, sometimes I spread the toast with some mustard first, and sometimes I get fancy smancy and mix in some spring onion.  But Cheese on Toast with Bacon is a real favourite around here!

Autumn . . . of all the seasons I think this one has a edge for me on all the others. (I know I say that about every season.) The sights, the smells, the sounds . . . falling leaves, colour, pumpkins, etc. I love it all.

Glass door knobs  . . .  in heaven my mansion will have glass door knobs on every door.

Door Knockers.  Especially antique ones.

Vintage crochet cotton pot holders. I love them.

Old Victorian Houses.  With all of the gingerbread trim, corner towers, verandas, windows, etc.  I just love them.

Vintage Home Sweet Home.  I would love a picture like this to hang in my home.

Vintage Scandanavian Clocks  . . .

Cats in . . .  hats!

Squirrels . . .  they're so cheeky!

Preserving summer's bounty. I used to love doing jams and pickles and filling the freezer.  It is not cost effective these days and with just two of us, not really worth it.

Wooden clothes pins  . . .

Alice in Wonderland  . . .  we're all mad here . . .

Ginger hair  . . . .

Chrome Dining Suites  . . .

My favourite Beatle  . . .

My favourite singer  . . .

My favourite vampire  . . .

My favourite man's voice  . . .

Whew . . . cool me down now!

I like little boys too  . . .

Cashmere  . . .

Georgian Elegance  . . .

Things that sparkle  . . .

A bit of old romance . . .

A comfy well made bed  . . .

Baby doll pj's  . . .

The sound of my mother's voice and our bi-weekly calls  . . .  I wish I could hear it every day.

Blueberries  . . .

And those are my favourite things for this week. What are some of yours?

A thought to carry with you  . . .

  4. Thank you for liking ginger hair!! Mine was not that red, but it was red...a dark auburn. Though I so wish I had that now in my old age, it was pure torture growing up to be mistreated so in school by other kids. I wish I had known then how special my hair color was...instead of hating it. We are a VERY small percentage of humans who have that naturally. When I was in college preparing to teach, the board that interviewed me (they only allowed 50% in that school to become teachers as a job was virtually guaranteed for all graduates) they asked me if I had a bad temper because my hair was red. I answered that I did not think I had a bad temper though perhaps I got my feelings hurt easily. I told them they should meet my brother with black hair...THAT was someone with a temper and that I could not see that hair color really had a thing to do with temperment. My college main prof beside me told me later that my answer was perfect. It was honest!! Ha...

    1. Great answer Elizabeth! I always wanted red hair when I was a child. I adore gingers as they are called over here! My little red headed grandson is the sweetest little boy. No ill temper at all! Love and hugs, xoxo

  5. This post will be one of my favorites because I liked all the items and thoughts. I especially like your sparkling personality. You are just such a fun writer. You come up with the best list every.
I loved the glass door knobs. I would have a hard time using those adorable pot holders. I of course, loved all of the vintage items. The cat in the hat is the cutest.
I gave up canning too for the same reason. Making jams and etc. for two just doesn't make sense anymore.
Your favorites in men are interesting. I have my own list of course,
I really loved the coats and wish they were more in style. Some of them are now.
Yes, a bit of romance on the TV. Hallmark channel is a favorite.
I did love those baby doll PJ's of long ago.
Continue to treasure those weekly phone calls with your Mom; I miss that one.
Yup Cheese on bread in the oven is a favorite of mine.
Loving thoughts and hugs for this fun one!
