My Favorite Things . . .

These are some of the things in life that I enjoy, and which make me happy, inspire me, or put a smile on my face. Maybe some of them are yours too.  Let's share!

Putting a smile on my father's face.  He loves to go out to eat.  This was not something he ever really got to do when he was a child. Unheard of. He was so happy for us to go to Swiss Chalet with him yesterday and he really enjoyed his meal. That made me happy. I enjoyed mine as well. The chicken was moist and tender, not at all dry.  The fries were good.  I really had no complaints. Plus, we got Lindt truffles to take home with us. No complaints there either! I love my father so much. I don't know how much longer we will have him with us and these small things mean a lot to him. Sharing a meal out with his family. Even if it isn't our choice of place to go. Being there with him is everything. We are building memories that will be cherished. That are cherished.

  3. So glad that dinner was good last night, and chocolates to enjoy later. Loved Anne of Green Gables, a series I can watch over again and again. I saw turkey dinner potato chips in the store this morning, not sure if I want to try them or not. They think of everything these days. I remember the little packets of salt in crisp bags, boy that ages me doesn't it. Have a good day.

    1. I could watch Anne of Green Gables over and over again also Linda. It is an old favorite of mine! I finally opened the chips. Just like the roast chicken with perhaps a bit of heat. Yes, bags of salt in the crisp bags. That is dating both of us! xoxo

  4. Yumminess here...gonna have to try out your stew recipe!! And old recipe boxes...a real treasure...true it is much easier and faster to use ones we print out on our computers these days, but there was something special about the handwritten ones!! Glad eating out went well...and hope there are many more!!
