I put up my hummingbird feeder yesterday afternoon. I read online that hummers have already been spotted in Nova Scotia and it was recommend on the CBC that you put up your feeders in mid-April for the early arrivals as there are not really many flowers in bloom yet. So I made my nectar and put it up.
We enjoyed our breakfast with dad yesterday morning and he was really pleased that we were there. We popped over to his house after and my sister made his bed and we did a few things for him. He was happy about that also. I am so grateful for these moments.
A thought to carry with you . . .

In The English Kitchen today . . . Chicken Tostadas. I picked up some Tostada shells the other week in the grocery store and I used a few of them yesterday. I had some bits and bobs needed using up. These were quite simply delicious!
I hope that you have a beautiful day today. It looks like it is going to be a sunny and warm day here! There is not a cloud in the sky! Whatever you get up to, don't forget!

Our hummer feeder is up to, all ready to view the little cuties. A nice day here too, off to find some seed potatoes to grow in a few pots. How lovely for your dad to have his daughters help him out. Enjoy the lovely day.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to look into a humming bird feeder for my little balcony. And so happy that you and your sister went to breakfast with your dad and then back to his place for some chores- very precious times which I know you value so much.
ReplyDeleteAnd the food today - yummy looking!
