A few of the things I find each week that inspire me to want to do better, to create, to become better, to read more, to watch, to just DO something! Things that delight, inspire, and bring me joy.  Maybe they will do the same thing for you!

Swedish Cream Bun Cake.  In Swedish but translation is available.  This looks fabulous. Must try.

Doll House in a Suitcase.  Laura Ashley Blog. Completely adorable.

I love these.  They are made in tin-cans.  These look about the size of small pate tins.  Windows. There are also doors. No instructions.  Just inspiration.

 

Little Burrow Designs.  I love this. It's so sweet.   I love this quote from Emily Dickenson also.  It is one of my favourites. I love all of this girls things.  She is so creative.

How to culture your own buttermilk.  From Reformation Acres.  Great blog with plenty of homestead goodness.

Handy Towel Holder from Little Birdie Secrets.  I love this.  Such a quick and simple project.  One of these with a lovely patterned tea towel would make a great gift for a friend.

From Ravelry.  A unique baseball cap ear warmer.  Great for the huntsman or fisherman in your life. Unique as I am. They will soon start shad fishing on the river here.

A basket with holes to store all your ribbons.  Such a great idea.  From Good Housekeeping. 19 Smart Solutions for Around the House.

Fabric Baskets.  These are soooooo pretty. Project Basket from Secret Garden Quilting.

Sew a Day Trip bag.  A free sewing project from New Craft Works. I love this.

Eat like a Pioneer.  A very interesting article with a lot of great ideas, insights and inspiration. From Walkerland.

 Knot Your Nana's Crochet, an easy market bag.

 Make a birdhouse from a matchbox.  No source, just inspiration.

 Sunny Side Up Tea Towel, free pattern from Needlework.  I think it's really cute and I love anything red and white.

 For art journaling. 365 one word prompts.  From Art Journalist.

A farmhouse spring wreath.  I love this. It's beautiful. From The Craft Patch Blog.

Paper Plate Flowers.  From Pink Stripey Socks.

Granny Squares Mood Blanket. From Bella Cocoa. I love it!

Crochet Daisy Chain, from Prima.  I love this too!!!

Crochet Bunting. Such a simple idea.  A great scrap buster!  From Lutter Idyl.

Embroidered Hoop Patterns.  Love this idea.  I love embroidery.  From Knotty Dickens on Etsy.

I really, really, really love this one, but then again I adore anything with bees.  From Bustle and Sew.

Kathy Schmitz, but I cannot find the exact pattern. I just love this. Again, bees.

Pot Holders (scrap busters) from Snip ly.

Heart Handmade.  DIY Birdfeeders.  I especially love this one in the photograph. How very simple!

I put up my hummingbird feeder yesterday afternoon. I read online that hummers have already been spotted in Nova Scotia and it was recommend on the CBC that you put up your feeders in mid-April for the early arrivals as there are not really many flowers in bloom yet.  So I made my nectar and put it up.

We enjoyed our breakfast with dad yesterday morning and he was really pleased that we were there. We popped over to his house after and my sister made his bed and we did a few things for him.  He was happy about that also. I am so grateful for these  moments.

In The English Kitchen today . . .  Chicken Tostadas.  I picked up some Tostada shells the other week in the grocery store and I used a few of them yesterday. I had some bits and bobs needed using up.  These were quite simply delicious!
