I have an inquisitive mind . . .

Do you google?  I google.  In fact I google everything.  So much so that I don't know what I did without google.  For the last 20 years google has been my "go to" for information on everything and anything I want to know  . . .  pressing questions like . . .

What is the lifespan of a Squirrel in Captivity?

Squirrels can generally live up 10 years in optimum conditions (with gray squirrels having a slightly shorter lifespan), however many baby squirrels in the wild never even make it to adulthood due to predators. ... In captivity, squirrels need to be provided with a variety of foods to make sure they are getting the proper nutrition.

Did you know you can "Buy" a Squirrel?

You can find out how here.  Just in case you were interested.

Where is the best place to put a dehumidifier in the house?

Dehumidifiers extract moisture from high humidity areas of a home. By controlling the amount of moisture in the air, dehumidifiers protect the structure of the building and make spaces more comfortable and healthy. Standalone dehumidifiers offer flexibility in their placement so that they can be used in any place where ...

It will even tell you where to buy one.

How many calories are in a Caterpillar???  I did not find the answer for that, but I did find out this:

Some caterpillars can actually contain more protein and fat gram for gram than a turkey leg, but that fat comes from healthier monounsaturated sources.

Amazing. You never know when you might have to resort
to eating caterpillars.

People also ask-

What is the nutritional value of an ant?

I guess inquiring minds just need to know.

Some of my favourite questions are of the health type.

What does it mean when you have lines on your nails?

Ridged nails. Vertical ridges (shown here) are usually harmless and a consequence of ageing. Horizontal nail ridges running from side to side of the nail, known as Beau's lines, may be a sign of previous injury, underlying health conditions, or in rare cases, arsenic poisoning. Seek medical advice if you have concerns.

It really annoys Todd sometimes.  I am always googling when we are watching a film or some such.  Wanting to know the film locations, the ages of the actors, etc.  I just really enjoy knowing all the background things such as these.  I don't think I am alone because if I was, the above photograph would not have been invented.  I try hard not to do it . . .  but I always cave in and start googling something, because I always end up having a question I want an answer to.

I am an expert at googling.

Seriously.

Have you ever googled yourself?

Its amazing what comes up.  Mostly my artwork, etc.  But sometimes there are oddities too . . .

Apparently someone with my name was involved in a Hot Tub Sex Arrest. No it wasn't me.  I don't even have a hot tub, and I don't think I will be getting one soon.

There are other search engines of course.  I have tried a few such as Ask Jeeves, Bing, etc. but I always come back to Google, and I think its because it is easy to use and its quick and I always find an answer to whatever pressing questions I have a need to know the answer to.

So I guess my question to you today is . . .
Do you google?

We are off to our friends Tina and Tony today for lunch.  Mitzie will be going with us.  She love LOVES Tina.  It will  make a break for her and it will be good for us me to get out of the house and blow away the cobwebs.  We've spent the last few days sorting out passports. Todd lost his passport in the autumn.  He had to take it into the bank for some reason and has not been able to find it since. So he has had to apply for a new one.  ££££ Ka-ching Ka-ching.  My Canadian passport expired in December so I have to renew it.  You know Canada does not make doing any of these things easy when you live outside the country.  And they make it very expensive.  I will have to wait a bit longer for mine because it costs three times as much as it does for Todd's and in the meantime I do have my British passport.  I do want to have my Canadian one however, so will get it eventually.  It will just take a bit longer.

I didn't get into the craft room yesterday.  I spent the morning baking a cake, only to have this happen . . . yep.  I tested it and it was done, but when I went to flip it out of the tin onto the cooling rack, it slipped and this happened.  And it was RAW in the middle!  It had sprung back when touched and everything.  I skipped the toothpick test.  Lesson to me, never skip the toothpick test!  The edges were very tasty however, so I will bake it again when I have some over-ripe bananas to use up. It uses three.  Its a recipe I got from this book.

Its a sound recipe so I will bake it again one day when I have some over-ripe bananas to use up.  And with that I will leave you with a thought for the day . . .

BOOK OF MORMON CORNER - Today's Reading - Jacob 5:70-77
Question - The Lord also laboured in the vineyard. What does this mean to you?

My thoughtsWhat an absolute privilege and blessing it is to be asked to work alongside the Saviour. He is not saying . . .  this is my work, this is how I want it doing, now you get to it. Nor is He saying  . . . . this is MY work, I can do it all, let me do it by myself (which He surely could). He is allowing us to take part because it will bless and change us, then we can partake of the JOY of saving with Him.

Tomorrow's Reading (Day 85) - Jacob 6:1-13
Question - What is Jacob emphasising about God's character in these verses? How do you cleave unto God?

In the English Kitchen today  . . .  Herb Crumbed Cod Fillets.  Quick, easy and delicious!

Have a wonderful Wednesday. Don't forget along the way of your day . . .

  3. I google alot too Marie! I have always asked questions, when I want to know something and sometimes people get annoyed. Lol. Now I just goggle when I want to know something instead.

I hope you have a great time with your friends Tina and Tony today.

My daughter is petrified of caterpillars still! Lol. In the spring, she hates walking around outside. She also stays away from branches, thinking one will fall on her.
When she was 6 or 7 years old a little boy threw a cup of caterpillars at her and she's been scared since then!

Sorry about your cake fail! I had that happen too last week with strawberry bread. I cut one open and it was raw in the middle. That never happened before! So I put one back in the pan and cooked it longer. It worked but had alittle bit of a different texture. So I cooked the rest to on a lower temperature.

Wow, the wind is really whipping around outside! I need to get some sleep bc I'm finally tired. Yay!

    Love and big hugs! ~♥~

  4. How disappointing about your cake.

Miss Mia is nearly five months old and she loves food. Tonight she managed to grab a spoon of avocado and get it into her mouth.

We also went to see dad today. He loved the ice-cream we brought to him. His room faces west and becomes very hot in the afternoons. It was lovely to share something so simple.

God bless you all. Stay warm and dry.

  5. Your daughter would not have loved living where I did in New Brunswick Jan! We had a caterpillar season where the road would be crawling with them, the trees dripping with them, etc. It was gross! It is really windy and rainy here today also. Love and hugs. xoxo

How lovely that you had a nice visit with your dad Suzan. I am sure he really appreciates the time you take to bring him these small pleasures. Love you! xoxo

  6. Hi Marie, I am a big googler!! On Sunday night we were watching a film and Pete said 'Oh that actress was really good in another film, but I can't remember her name' Well this went on for half an hour and he wouldn't google it, said his brain had to work it out. Needless to say after 35 minutes he googled it!!!

Hope you have a lovely time today and sorry about your cake!! Lots of love xxx

SUZE...lovely to see you back, hope you're all ok especially baby Mia! Lots of love xxx

  8. Yes, I love to Google things. And I'm like you: while watching movies, reading books, etc. I'm always wanting to Google.

  9. Hi Marie!

I truly Google everything...such a plethora of information!

We do need to blow away the cobwebs once in a while, and I'm so glad you, Todd and Mitzie were able to get out! Cole loves to go for a ride, he's a really good traveler.

I don't have a Visa, my husband does, and they are so expensive. I'm so sorry you have spend so much for them.

Your poor cake!! What a shame, I'll bet it was delicious, even if it didn't make it to the cooling rack... :0) I made a cake for my DIL yesterday, for her birthday. It was chocolate, with buttercream frosting, yummy.

Its been a crazy week for me...I'm off to bed!!

    Hugs and Love sweet friend!

  10. Men are so stubborn Kate! I have watched Todd struggle with things and problems for ages that could be solved in an instant if he would only listen to me, LOL. Love and hugs! xoxo

That sounds like a wonderful show Monique! I will see if I can find it online! I think it might be because I live in the UK and not in Canada, but it is going to cost me almost $300 for a ten year one, which I will do because I have to. New regulations (2016) require that as a Canadian I can only travel to Canada on a Canadian Passport, although I also have a British one. It MUST be my Canadian one. Most annoying. xoxo

We are clearly very like minded Sandy! xoxo

I think we are very much alike Barb! Sorry you are having a crazy week. Todd and I were in bed at 8PM last night as we were both exhausted! xoxo

  11. Oh my sweet friend, this was such a fun one. You do google and I loved some of the stuff you looked at. I google too and it is fun to find out things in all areas of life. I am like you when I watch a movie sometimes I want the back ground of it and what the real story is. I like to read about the actors and etc. Recently, I looked up stuff on The Greatest Showman and found the few inconsistences in the story. However, I loved the show so see if when you can.
I will not look forward to the day we may need to eat caterpillars; not a good plan. I have heard about chocolate covered ants and etc; no way.
Sorry about the passports that is a pain to have to get a new one. Is there a reason that you want them from two countries? See I'm curious.
It is fun to google ourselves. Your links are so much more interesting. Just think you are an author of a wonderous cook book. You must do more. I do believe your artwork should be all over the place; I loved it. Do more!
Blessings, love and hugs for you all!

  12. Ahh, LeAnn, you are so sweet! I really want to see The Greatest Showman, mostly because it is a musical and we love musicals! Like you, I would have to be EXTREMELY hungry to eat any insect. As it is I do not eat prawns, shrimps or lobster. UGH> Cochroaches of the sea. I plan on doing more art and writing! I just need to find the time! Love and hugs! xoxo
