My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things I find each week which pique my curiosity or inspire me to want to do something, create something, cook something, or become a better person! I hope they will pique your curiosity or inspire you in some way as well!

Strawberry Roses, just in time for Valentines Day!  These would make such a pretty garnish for a special dessert, or even as a plateful to enjoy with something sparkly.  Ash and Crafts.

Boudoir Chair Pin Cushions.   I remember receiving something quite similar to this from my mother's cousin Lydia once when I was a child.   So cute.  This is on Aduante Da Art.

With Love, Button Gift Tags.  Inspiration from Etsy. La Maison Jolie.  There is actually nothing there to see, but these would be very easy to make with some circle cutters, a letter stamp and some fimo clay, or salt dough.  Cute!

Bird Tags.  I could not find a source for these, but they are simply cut from pretty scrap papers and put together with a button and some twine.

Valentines Day Free Printable  From Design Eat Repeat.   Cute!

Crochet Valentine.  So cute!  From Ruby and Custard.  A free pattern.

Knitted Hot Water Bottle Cosy.  A free pattern from The Yarn Loop.  I love the colours.

30 days to Better Knitting.  Casting on methods.  You can find them here.  (Plus a whole lot more!)

Vicky Arnold.  Free how to draw Tutorials.   Nice.

Amateur Gardening.  How to grow roses using cuttings and potatoes.

Magical Daydream.  Matchbox Camera with picture prompts.  So cute!  This would be a great gift for the photography enthusiast!

Felt Toast Key Ring.  This is so cute.  From Pop Sugar.

Make your own Baby Sock Rabbit.  A complete Tutorial.  From Miaou.

Evie Barrow.  No pattern, just inspiration.  Love this little sunshine softie doll.

I love these pillow cases.  The fabrics are just beautiful.  From Smashed Peas and Carrots.  A complete Tutorial.

I love these slippers!  They are so sweet.  Tea and a Sewing Machine

And those are my finds for this week.  I hope you found something to inspire you!

A thought to carry with you through today  . . .

In The English Kitchen today.   One Pan Oven Pork Chop Dinner, with layers of cabbage, sweet potato and green beans, topped with chops and some buttered crumbs.  This is simple and delicious.   I actually used thick slices from my leftover roast pork loin this time and it worked out fabulously.  What a tasty way to use up some leftover meat!

Have a wonderful Friday.  Don't forget!

  2. So many beautiful and tempting things. I need to do something pretty and inspiring. At present I am on squares. The idea is that everyone can make a square. I am supping yarn and needles. when they are done they will be sewn into a blanket. Meanwhile I have so many things I want to do. I might have to do some of these for the kids next week.

God bless you and Todd today and always. HAve a snuggle with Mitzy for me.
