The Simple Woman's Daybook . . .

FOR TODAY, March 10th, 2020

Outside my window ...
The sun is just coming up, the  morning chorus has begun.  Its not raining. Yay!

I am thinking ...
For the last week, Facebook has been taking my recipe posts down saying it goes against their terms of service and they are spam. DUH???  I even tried to give my sister the link to the easy French Bread in a private message and it wouldn't let me saying it was against their terms of service.  In the meantime people are sharing all kinds of crap (yes I did say crap) on there.  I don't get this.  All I can think is someone is reporting my posts as spam and I don't know why they would do that???  I must have someone out there who really has it in for me for whatever reason.

Also ALL of Italy is now on lockdown and in quarantine.  Scary stuff. France is also bad. Cases here in the UK are rising as are deaths, but so far not overly bad, however we have been cautioned that many thousands will come down with it by the Deputy Health Officer in th UK, and that we need to be cautious now.  Be alert but not alarmed. I need to get to the Temple as soon as I can.

I am thankful for ...
The powers of discernment which meant that we have been prepared for things like this Corona Virus for a very long time now. We have all that we need now, right in our home.

In the kitchen ...

Honey Mustard Baked Salmon with a crispy panko crust.  This was really delicious!

On my "To Cook" list ...

Brownie Petit Fours.  The Wood and Spoon.   Now that's some yum going on there!

Good to know ...

I am creating ...

Inspiration only because everything is in Russian or some other Eastern European language, but are they not sweet!

Nanie Cousette.  In French, but that I can cope with.  Aren't they adorable?

Recycled Crafts.  Tab Top Dolls.  Cute!

My Owl Barn.  Cute Owl Pin Cushion.

Beach Vintage.  Love this little frame pin cushion made using vintage embroidery.

I am reading ...

One Moment, by Linda Green

Finn and Kaz are about to meet for the first time... Ten-year-old Finn, a quirky, sensitive boy who talks a lot and only eats at cafes with a 5-star hygiene rating, is having a tough time at school and home. Outspoken Kaz, 59, who has an acerbic sense of humour and a heart of gold, is working at the café when Finn and his mum come in. They don't know it yet, but the second time they meet will be a moment which changes both of their lives forever . . .

Have only just started this, but it had great reviews.  Its all about being different.

Makes me smile ...

A grandson who reads stories to his guinea pig.  Jake and Oreo.  Apparently he does different voices for the characters in the story and everything.  Wish I could get him to read a story to me!

Something to watch ...

Liar Season 2 on ITV.  Loved the first series and am loving the second so far!

    1. We never had many animals when the children were growing up, except a cat and once a dog. My ex was not fond of animals and do wouldn't really allow them. I have two great sons and a fabulous daughter! xoxo
