These are a few of my favourite things. Maybe some of them are yours
also! A few of the things which catch my eye, inspire me, pluck at my
heart
strings, make me smile, or that I just enjoy. I hope that they will do the
same for you.
Vintage Baby Layettes . . .
The original movie . . . Father of the Bride. With Elizabeth Taylor and Spencer Tracy. I love everything about it.
1950's day wear . . .
1950's evening wear . . .
1950's casual wear . . .
1950's night clothes . . . peignoir sets, etc. So pretty . . . elegant . . .
1950's hair styles, with perhaps the exception of the upper left hand corner . . .
Yes please . . . .
In a heart beat . . .
Big band music . . .
The 1950's malt shop . . .
1950's formals . . .
There are probably very few recipes that I might make from that era, but I don't mind looking at them for nostalgia's sake. In fact I rather enjoy it . . .
1950's Bungalows . . . .
1950's values . . . .
Let's just face it. I'm a dinosaur . . .
A thought to carry with you . . .
You'll never plow a field
by running it over in your mind.

ReplyDeleteTalk about being a dino.
Hi Marie~
ReplyDeleteFrom one dinno to another...I love the 50's! I would have loved being an adult in the 50's. I was born in 1955, so I don't remember most of the 50's. But, I love the music, the fashion the attitude...all of it! That kitchen is adorable, I would love it too! I remember malt shops! There was one in the little town I grew up, I remember going there when I was a child, I can still remember how it smelled! My mom told me she used to go there on her lunch break and have a toasted cheese sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. Ahhh, the memories, loved going back in time!!
Have a good day! Love you! XOXO
Hugs and Love,
Barb
Hi Marie, love all the 50s stuff. I'll be thinking of you and Todd tomorrow. It will be a sad day for Doreen's family and friends. She lived a long life and it should be celebrated. Hugs, Elaine
