My Friday Finds . . .
A few of the things I find each week that strike my fancy. I hope they strike yours too!
I think this chicken bun holder is really cute. It reminds me of a hot pad I made a long, long time ago which was a chicken. I wonder what ever happened to it . . . From Drops Design.
Sorry for another crochet pattern, but this curtain is just so darned pretty. From Annies E-Pattern Central. I used to get a lot of patterns before the www from Annie's Attic. I wonder if it is the same company? (I just checked it out and it is! Squeee!)
A free pattern for a sweet Dr Owl hot water bottle cover. Found on Rowan. You do have to register, but not a problem. (For me anyways.)
Embroidery on fabric bags. These are so gorgeous. From Flickr, but there is no pattern that I could find. Sigh . . . just inspiration.
Strawberry Roses. From Ash and Crafts. Can you just see these on your cakes this summer? I can! Sooo pretty!
A dog bed from an old suitcase?? Why not! And it fold up when not in use. From those smart people at BHG.
Nana and Co, pretty little potholders. I Love the fabric choices. So very sweet.
How to turn an in-expensive composition notebook into a pretty art journal. From Ashley Hackshaw. A complete tutorial.
DIY Orange and Clove, Gardiners Soap. From a Cultivated Nest. Orange and clove sounds like it would smell just gorgeous. Can you imagine washing your garden dirty hands with this?
Vintage Housewife Cupcake Toppers. From Quirky Artist Loft. Not free but the inspiration is.
Mini Farming. Useful tips for doing some farming in your back yard. I have always wanted to do this. I've always wanted chickens. I wonder if they would keep cats out of the yard?
Cheerios Sheep Snacks. So cute! From Everyday Dishes.
Cottage Heart Banner Tutorial. From Kathy's Cottage. This is so sweet.
How to clean and re-season Cast Iron. Always useful. From I Believe I can if I Try.
And finally . . .
How to add Farmhouse Charm to your Rental Kitchen. From Smart School House. And that's it for this week! I hope you found something useful!
A thought to carry with you through today . . .

As always some great finds...just wish I could crochet..that chicken is great idea ....are you doing anything special this Good Friday ? We are opening the church between 12-3 and serving tea with hot cross buns between 2-3 so I will probably go up around 1 ...Mitch has said he will come over today so might depend on when he wants to come...it's a while since he was over as he has had a bad cold....it's a beautiful sunny warmish morning here. That's Mary arriving so must go get breakfast ready xxx
ReplyDeleteHi, Marie! Oh, the chicken bun holder is marvelous--such fun for a Easter breakfast table! And strawberry roses--genius idea! Fun journal idea... ReplyDeleteI love the way that composition book was transformed. And the pretty pot holders look like a great way to use up scrapes of material. Hope you have blessed Good Friday !

ReplyDeleteI love it all and you could make it all even the purse..in a flash miss..
BTW I don't know if you read my reply..I suggested you maybe take the time to draw the commercial area of your little town..add a few country charm roads,a cute cute map..and bring it to who could be responsible to have them printed and given out in shops..but you get the $$ and royalties..
:)?
Oh Marie once again not one picture loaded for me.
