My Friday Finds . . .

 photo FridayFinds_zpsb214ccd8.jpg

A few of the things I find each week which strike my fancy and I hope that they strike yours also! I've had a lot of just sitting around time this week, so I've had a lot of time to look at things that pique my interest!

Goldfish in a bowl soap.  Melt and pour.  For kids!  From Soap Deli News Blog.

All Cheap Crafts.  A whole wack of body scrubs that you can make yourself for less than a tenner.

What a beautiful picnic basket.  It's decoupaged.  Paper Napkins and Mod Podge   . . .  and a picnic basket of course.  From Hometalk.

From Polyclay.com  painting faces on paper bags, cloth bags, etc.   These are really cute.

I am in love with this little felt tote.  Isn't it adorable?  From  Zooz.  It's Japanese, and there are no instructions.  I just thought it could inspire the crafty to come up with something on their own.

I really need to learn how to knit mittens.  These Hedgehog Mittens are calling my name.  From Mom Me.

Washi Tape Wrapped Pencils.  So pretty.  Nyla's Crafty Teaching.

Styrafoam ball, hot glue and any artificial flower you like.  Simple and easy and so pretty.  From Img Fav.

Through the Window.  Patchwork Slippers tutorial.  I love these.  They're so very pretty.   It's in Spanish, but there are complete pictures all the way through so it's not hard to figure out.

How to Sew Pillows.  A free PDF Guide from Craftsy.

Oil cloth lunch bags tutorial on Skip to My Lou.

And one more because I like to end on even numbers . . .  that's just me.

Alisa Burke.  Braided  Rag Hair Bands.  So sweet.  Looks like all you need to be able to do is tear fabric up and glue.  I love her blog.

And that's my finds for this week.  I hope you found something of interest here today! Let's get crafting!

A thought to carry with you through today   . . .

  1. Morning love, how are you ? Did you manage to get some sleep ?...I certainly hope so. You are so wonderful to be writing an entry when you are so poorly...as always some great ideas...very cold and frosty here but I see winters scenes for further north...I am now keeping my fingers crossed that the roads are ok for Peter driving up to Liverpool...also that the tickets come today, he is in a panic as they havnt come. I am to intercept his post today and call him at work if they come...or not ....that is a worry I think you hear so much about fraud these days, I dint know who he booked through....take care and don't be doing to much. Xxx

  2. Everything is fine here weatherwise Sybil. Roads are nice and clear, however they have had snow in Wales. We are lower down here in Chester and on the Wirrel/Liverpool area. You should be okay. I will have my fingers crossed for you that the tickets arrive and that you have a safe journey there and back! I am taking it easy again today! xoxo

  3. Hi Marie. Just catching up and am so sorry to see you've not been well. It sounds like another trip to the doctor is in order. We've been backwards and forwards to London visiting Christian, Georges new grandson. Unfortunately his son and d-i-l are having problems with their apartment and so we have brought Ashley and Christian back with us. They will stay for about three weeks I think. He is only 2 months old and absolutely gorgeous! I think Ashley and Pete are finding it difficult to adapt to parenthood, they really had no idea what was in store for them! Ashley is also from Hong Kong and so has no family back up in London. I just hope they can settle here and get into some kind of a routine. It's funny how things turn out though, there's me retiring at Christmas thinking what a peaceful, tranquil time 2016 was going to be and all hells let loose!! Hope you're feeling much better soon Marie. Lots of love xxx

  6. Thanks Kate! I told you that you would be so busy when you retired that you would wonder how you ever got anything done when you were working! Its funny how that works! I am sure you'll be a big help to Ashley. How wonderful that you are going to have them to stay with you for a while. I can only wish for such luck! xoxo

Thanks Suzan. Not feeling a whole lot better, but slogging forward! xoxo

  7. Hi, Marie! Sweet stuff today! :) LOVE all the body care-makes... So much more cost-effective and use-effective that shop-boughts! That teeny, tiny felt bag is soooo CUTE!! That'd be sweet on a little dollie. Hedgehog mittens--ultimate cute, or what??!! And love those patchwork slippers too--great idea, and super use for fabric scraps. Delicious spaghetti for today...mmm... I'm fasting today, so that's making me hungry... LOL! Wishing you all there a great weekend now! ((LOVE & HUGS))

  9. I thought you might like some of these Tracy, especially the mittens. I can see a little girl wearing those, and the slippers have you written all over them. A great way to use up some of your fabric scraps! You have a great weekend also. Love and hugs right back at you! xoxo

Thanks Monique. I am resting as much as I can. xoxo

  10. Hi Marie~

I hope you are doing better today, you have sure had a bad time with this bug...

I love all of the ideas, but a few of them really caught my eye! I have been needing a good tutorial on pillow making, and this one is perfect. I also love the braided hair bands. I have a couple of littles who would love them! The pencils would be such a fun little project for my Beehives . . . they love things like that.

    Hugs,
    Barb
