Friday Finds . . .
A few of the wow moments, or things I discover each week that tickle my fancy. I hope that they may inspire or tickle yours too!
This is a really cute way to wrap up a boxed lunch from Kate Landers Events. It's simply paper which has been punched at both ends and then pulled up over a box lunch and tied together near the top with a bow. Simple and yet so pretty.
No source, but I am loving this idea for storing cake sprinkles and decorations. I have an old spice rack like that out in the shed. I could paint it and then get all of my sprinkls out of the box I have them stored in. I have so many and when I need some it's a real pain digging through them to find what I want! This is so much more organized!
This is just the sweetest sewing kit. There is a complete tutorial on Lots of Pink Here.
I couldn't resist showing you this as I have fallen completely in love with it. It is a sewing kit as well, except it's made of felt and is a little cottage. Isn't it adorable? Found on The Sewing Directory.
I just adore this eclutch. It's so bright and colourful. You can buy the pattern to make this plus a whole bunch of other cute patters in the Schoolhouse Patterns Etsy Shop. This is my favourite though. I think it's the fabric selection. So cute.
These kitten mittens are totally adorable! I love them. Now all I have to do is learn how to knit them. lol Tall order I know. I know a little girl who would love these. The pattern is from Down Clover Lane. When I was a little girl I would have loved a pair of these.
How to turn buttons into crochet flowers! Are these not ADORABLE? I know!! So cute! There is a complete pictorial tutorial on Craft and Fun!
Apple Pie Bread. It sounds and looks so delicious! I want to make this. It's from My Baking Addiction. I can already imagine how good this will smell when it is baking!
I've got them but I don't know what they're for! Thank goodness for the internet. How to Use your Vacuum Cleaner Attachments! Found on A Bowl Full of Lemons.
A neat game to use to help your children with their spelling! Very timely with back to school. Spelling Games with Mixed up Words and Apples from JDaniel4'smom. Learning is so much easier when it's combined with fun!
And that's it for this week. I hope you found something useful and inspiring in this bunch, I know I did!
A thought to carry with you through today . . .

"The journey is filled with ups and downs.
Don't confuse the two as ever being everlasting.
Get up everyday and apply yourself, be authentic,
trust your instincts and know that the more you apply yourself
the better you get day by day.
The day you are waiting for
is the day you want to give up,
that is when you MUST keep going.
That's the barrier between normal and greatness."´*。.❄¨¯`*✲。

I do love the idea of you and your fairies....When I was a child I also believed in them and truly thougt that animals wore clothes !! Once I heard Dad say that rat's leave the mine if ther eis an accident going to happen. And I could "see" them each hanginng on to the other's tail...they wer blind down the mine !! I thought!! with their suitcases fleeing for their lives...and I was so dissapointed when I saw a mole...they are so tiny and certainly didnt wear clothes !!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed out commenting yesterday. I had an emergency in teh monring Peter took ill and after a visit to Dr. I had to rush him into the A&E in Bath turned out he had stones in his kidney. He was in such agony...we were in hosp. from 11.50 till after 4pm when they decided they would let him home with three lotsof pills etc to hopefully wait for the stone to pass...he has to go back in 2 weeks. MAry and I were supposed to be at the theatre yesterday !!! so that we had to miss....Poor MAry I ha dto keep phoning her with the updates !!
I adored my paper dolls as well Marie !!! Have a great day xxx
Lots of love for today. Sybil I loved your poignant story.
ReplyDeleteSybil, I thought that animals wore clothes too! That if we looked at them with the special parts of our hearts and eyes we would be able to see the clothes. The special parts of my eyes never worked so I never did see them, but that didn't stop me from believing they were there! We were so innocent in our younger years Sybil. I am sorry to read about Peter. I hope his discomfort is not too bad and that he is soon feeling alot better. Kidney stones are no fun. Todd was in agony when he had his. xxoo
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzan! xxoo
