Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens . . . these are some of the things in life that I enjoy, and which make me happy, inspire me, or put a smile on my face. Maybe some of them are yours too. Let's share!

In the English Kitchen today . . .
How to Make Ghee. A complete tutorial. I was surprised at how easy it really was!! Plus, I enjoyed some special time spent with my sister.
We were supposed to go out to lunch today with my cousin Sheri, but she has woken up with a sore throat so we will have to do it another time. Maybe Cindy and I will get out for a country ramble. It would be good to shake the cobwebs off and go for a drive.
I am feeling very saddened this morning by what happened yesterday with the shooting. It's a terrible thing, all politics aside. Nothing justifies such a despicable act of cowardice. And on the eve of 9/11. Shameful. Have we learned nothing? Makes me very sad.
I hope you have a lovely day, filled with things which bring you joy. Say a little pray for our world. We need it. Don't forget.

And I do too!

Lovely favourites today, Marie. So much beauty in the world and yet it is marred by so much evil and discontent. How do we fix it? Because fix it we must. On a happier note I made your Brown Sugar Quick Bread. I added blueberries and it was lovely. I also made your Cauliflower/Broccoli Casserole. I only used cauliflower as I didn’t have broccoli. It was delicious and a keeper. Thanks for all the lovely recipes you inspire us with. Enjoy your outing with Cindy. Love and hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteWill check out the ghee recipe. The news was all about the political shooting, but hardly anything about a school shooting of 2. Politics wins out each time. I read there is a new strain of Covid, mainly in the USA, called razor throat or similar, symptoms of sore throat. It is never ending. Hoping you and Cindy can have a nice outing instead.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you and Cindy get out for a nice visit…we all need time to recharge. Again, your favs are mine also…I have a yellow kitchen, I collect tea cups and little houses…and that bread looks fabulous. Wishing you a lovely day full of sweet blessings, Virginia
