Outside my window ...
Its quite overcast this morning. I think we might get some rain, which isn't entirely a bad thing. I know that moods are brighter when the sun shines, but we do need rain sometimes as well.
I am thinking ...
I think I forget what normal is. I fluctuate between positivity most days to being very concerned and almos shell shocked on others. I sit and wonder will things ever return to normal. What will the new normal be? I doubt things will ever be the same as they were, not for a very long time, if ever.
I am thankful for ...
Above all else I am thankful for my faith because if I didn't have it, I am not sure how I would be able to get through each day. Oh, I would get through them somehow I am sure, what choice would I have, but would I be sane? I don't know!
In the kitchen ...

I've done a whole tutorial on how to create a sour dough starter that actually works. Plus there are recipes for using some of the discard (sourdough pancakes, sourdough brownies) and it culminates in me actually baking a successful loaf of bread and with some ideas on storage for the starter. This post was a week and a half in the making. What good is being stuck in the house if you can't learn a new skill! I'm pretty proud of myself!
On my "To Cook" list ...
Julia's Album. Creamy Bow Tie pasta with Spinach, Mushrooms and Caramelised Onions. Looks very tasty! It will have to wait until I can access some fresh mushrooms and spinach, but I can always hope!
Good to know ...
Artist Hue. How to paint tulips.
I am creating ...
Molly Sews. Sew a Floral Skirt.
We all Sew. DIY heating/cooling pads.
Making Things is Awesome. Casual shorts.
Start Sewing. DIY Seatbelt Pillows, for when we are allowed to go out and about again.
Lorie Jayne. Magnetic Bookmark and Pen Holder. What a brilliant idea!
I am reading ...
Perfect, by Rachel Joyce
Winter, present day: As frost creeps across the moor, Jim cleans tables in the local café, a solitary figure struggling with OCD. His job is a relief from the rituals that govern his nights.
Little would seem to connect them except that two seconds can change everything. And if your world can be shattered in an instant, can time also put it right?
I have only just started this.
Dreaming of ...

Makes me smile ...
Whenever Susan posts a new blog post. Its a red letter day!
Something to watch ...
Three Girls on Netflix. Inspirational true story about the Asian grooming of vulnerable girls/children in Rochdale in the UK. We watched it when it first came out on the BBC, and are watching it again. Excellent series.

Corners of my kingdom ...
Bluebells and Primrose in the English Countryside.
The clumps of yellow primrose stood,
And sheets of white anemones,
Like driven snow against the trees,
Had covered up the violet,
But left the blue-bell bluer yet.
~A.A. Milne
