My Friday Finds

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become . . . Maybe they will do the same for you!

This isn't anything you can make yourself, but I just thought it was the sweetest little doll.  Quirky and different. I love dolls.  This is from Melodie Stacy on Etsy.  It is no longer for sale, but I thought it was cute.

How to grow your own Avocado Tree.  From grdnng.com.

Can you stand another Tea Cosy?  I love this one, by Knit Jo Sharp. Not free but not an expensive pattern either. I really like it.

The new trend.  Apparently it is replacing Hygge.

Hooks and Tails.  Crochet Christmas Bunting.  Free tutorial and video.

The French Connection.  Such a pretty square.

Savor and Savvy. How to save money on groceries without coupons.  They don't do coupons over here.  I am not sure why.  I miss coupons.

And those are my finds for this week.  I hope there was something here to interest you!

I am off to be boobie squished today.  I am sure that if men had to go through a similar testing for man-part cancer, a better way would have been invented!

A thought to carry with you!

  1. Hi, Marie--Happy Friday! So many see and good things here today! Oh, I would love an avocado tree! I have tried planting avocado pits...but no success! We don't really the climate for such a tree to survived, I don't think... and we don't have a greenhouse. Those homemade bees was candles are lovely! I just love those garden markers--great idea! Ooo...those lacy pillow cases are beautiful!! VERY interesting construction/stitch pattern for that first knit teacosy. I just love bread baking, and hope to try some sourdough baking yet this year--so that link in timely. We don't have coupons here, and I miss them a lot--it is a nice way to save! It's actually really hard to save money here on food, as most supermarkets are neck-n-neck with prices. :/ Wishing you well today with your mammogram, and that's only GOOD results too. Thinking of you... Wishing you all a good weekend now too! LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH, my dear friend! :))) ((LOVE & BIGGEST HUGS))

  4. Hi Marie!

Oh, so many sweet and wonderful things to look at today! I love all of your finds, and always take way too much page space writing about them... ;0) You always find best things!

I have been looking for a new wreath for my front door, but I just refuse to pay what they want for one! I'll bet I have enough fabric to make a cute fabric wreath, just sitting in a bin! If not, I'm sure it wouldn't cost 40.00 o buy the fabric... :0/

Gorgeous pillow cases! Why is it that Spring, is when I want to make my bed beautiful?! Maybe it's because I can open the windows and let the breeze just make everything seem so fresh and clean. I always gravitate to white for sheets, and lace is a perfect compliment to it.

We were at my son's house tonight, and I noticed a basket with painted rocks by their back door. I looked closer and noticed that each one was painted like a vegetable, they were adorable! They are getting ready to plant their garden, and I can't wait to see them sitting pretty among the plants. This year, they tilled up a huge spot to grow and sell pumpkins, now I can't wait until Fall to see them!

Hope the "squishing" turned out ok, I need to have it done and just keep putting if off...eeekkk!

We have been running like crazy here...life really just needs to settle down a bit. It is suppose to rain the rest of the week, and it's quite cold outside. I do hope that next week is a little quieter!

Loved your quote today...we really do need to be kinder to ourselves, don't we. Love you tons, sweet friend!!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb
