My Favourite Things . . .

 

  

A few of the things in life that make my heart go pitty pat. Maybe they will do the same thing for yours. ♥♥♥     

 

Spending time with my sister.  She is quite simply one of my most favorite people on this earth. I love her so much.

A thatched roof  . . .  love them . . .

Marmalade cats  . . . 

 

Alternate worlds where bunnies where fluffy lined slippers, and sleep in tiny beds, with mother bunnies who check on them to see all is well  . . .  and a moon that peeks in the window and keeps an eye on things. 
 
 

Shirley Temple  . . .  love her old black and white films.  


 

Chocolate covered almonds, good ones  . . .  they are a major weakness . . . 


 

Chickens  . . .  their clucking is such a peaceful, homey sound  . . .

Red geraniums  . . . 

 

Blue and white gingham  . . . 


 

Aga stoves  . . .  they are such comforting things  . . . 


 

Crochet blankets  . . . 

 

Mindless  chores like dish washing  . . . 


 

Classical music  . . . 

 

Starry, starry nights  . . . 


 

Peonies  . . . 

 

Dry roasted peanuts  . . . 

 

Monogrammed stationary  . . . 


 

Trees  . . .  and their whisperings  . . . 


 

This was the oak that was at the Manor down in Kent. It was massive.  It was noted in the Domesday book and people from historical societies used to come to see it.  If it could have spoken, oh what stories could it have told  . . . 

 

Blue skies and cotton candy clouds  . . . 

 

Kitchen gardens  . . . 

  

Ships in bottles  . . . 

 

Cherries and anything with cherries on them  . . . 


 

Horses, they are beautiful creatures  . . . 

 

Red squirrels  . . . 

 

The smell of my mother's perfume  . . .  


 

A bit of sparkle  . . . 


 

Poldark  . . .  


 

Colour  . . . and lots of it . . . 

 

The gift of a new day  . . . 


 

The Psalms of David  . . . 

 

Fresh berries  . . . 

  

Gnomes knitting hearts  . . .

In The English Kitchen today  . . .  Extra Crispy Chicken Wings with a Lime & Honey Glaze.  For two people. Delicious.

    1. I have enjoyed some cherries also, but they were not as good as the ones I used to get from France. Oh well! Strawberry season is just about upon us! yay! love and hugs, xoxo
