Clematis. I love LOVE Clematis. I had a couple of lovely ones in the U.K. I don't have any here, but a neighbor just two doors down has a beautiful one. This is a plant that gives very generously of itself!

In The English Kitchen today . . . Peppercorn Filet Steaks for Two. So delicious, with a creamy cognac sauce. I used stock instead of cognac and the sauce was still delicious!

I think cocker spaniels are the clowns of the dog world...never had one but enjoyed playing with those who belonged to friends. My favorite breeds was the last dog we had who was a blue heeler border collie. Also something of a clown...those types dogs seem to love entertaining us and making us laugh!!
