OUTSIDE MY WINDOW ...
Its very chilly out this morning. But Partly sunny. This is a photo I took a few days back of some of the colours down the road. It's such a pretty time of year. I love it.
I AM THINKING ...
I feel so bad for Eileen. She is in quite a bit of pain down below, and there doesn't seem to be a lot that I can do for her. I think it is the stitches drying and pulling. She has only one heavy duty pain killer left. After that it is Tylenol. I have gotten her Tylenol 1's. But I am not sure they will be strong enough. I keep hoping and praying that today will be better, but she was still in a lot of pain when I helped her to go to the loo earlier.
I AM ALSO THINKING ...
One day at a time. That is how we get through this. One day at a time. Dwell on the good and the blessings. We will get there.
I AM GRATEFUL FOR ...

I AM READING ...

STANDING FOR SOMETHING, by Gordon B Hinckley
10 neglected virtues that will heal our hearts and homes
In this national bestseller, the late president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gordon B. Hinckley, has created a classic look at the values that can change our world--and how to stand up for them. Drawing on anecdotes from his much-admired life of faith and service, as well as examples from American culture today, he examines ten virtues that have always illuminated the path to a better world: love, honesty, morality, civility, learning, forgiveness and mercy, thrift and industry, gratitude, optimism, and faith. He then shows how the two guardians of virtue--marriage and the family--can keep us on that path, even in difficult times.
Standing for Something is an inspiring blueprint for what we all can do--as individuals, as a nation, and as a world community--to rediscover the values and virtues that have historically made us strong and that will lead us to a brighter future.
I have read this before. It is not a bad thing to review something inspiring like this every now and then.

And I do too!
Hope you got a glimpse of the SpaceX launch this morning from Florida. Went up the eastern seaboard; don't know if it got to your area. Hoping Eileen gets feeling better - One day at a time sweet Jesus. Or, blue, white and red, haha. Chilly mornings down here in Florida, but heating up nicely. Take care sweet ladies.
ReplyDeleteI hope she feels better soon:(. How uncomfortable for her.Wonderful she has you by her side.TV wise we enjoyed Last Seen an Australian series..So good..great acting. East Of Eden..so good also..
ReplyDeleteFall colours are lovely right now, but we had steady rain today and wind which will bring down lots of leaves. Tomato soup and grilled cheese are comfort foods at this time of year. Hoping Eileen feels better, perhaps a call/visit to doctor will renew her prescription. It is so hard when you can't do anything accept give love and support.
ReplyDeleteOh gee, recovery is so difficult, prayers for Eileen coming from me. Rest, take care, Virginia xo
ReplyDeleteProbably these stitches are supposed to disappear at some point? Might be good to talk to at least a nurse about it and see if Eileen needs to be seen. Never hurts to ask some questions. Hope things get better soon!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Elizabeth xoxo
