Just a quick one this morning as I am off out earlyish to have the summer tires put on my car this morning. It is hard to believe that the long months of Winter are now far behind us and the likelihood of snow is now passed!  Not that it can't happen as I have seen it happen in the past, but there will be nothing significant now until much later in the year if at all. We don't really seem to get the snow nowadays like we used to get.

I am so grateful for my little car.  It gets me where I need to be whenever I need to go. It has blessed not only my life, but also my sister's from time to time and my father's as well.  I don't know what I would do without it.  I am so thankful that I was able to buy it.  I had a bit of money that my mother had left for me and that allowed me to do so.  Thank you mom!  And my little job helps to keep me going, keep it going.  Thank you God!

It is my next door neighbor Sheila's Birthday today. I forget how old she said she was going to be, but I think it is up in the 80's.   I have a card and a small box of cherry chocolates for her.  She mentioned it when Dan was putting my summer tires into my car last evening. (Thank you Dan!)  I was glad that she had because I had quite forgotten. I knew it was coming soon!  She is the best neighbor.  I told her the other day how grateful I was that she was there to keep an eye on things.  We all need a neighbor like that who has a watchful eye. It is not because she is nosy, it is because she cares about people.  Thank you Sheila for always noticing when things are awry!  She is very good to the man across the road. He can't get out much now and she always picks up his mail for him and takes his garbage out, etc.  She would do the same for anyone.  She is just a very good person.  The world needs more Sheilas!

And with that I best be off as I have a ton of things to do before I leave!

In The English Kitchen today  . . .  Easy Lemon Garlic Parmesan Chicken.  For two.  This is the BEST chicken that I have ever cooked.  It was simply amazing!
