These are a few of my favourite things. Maybe some of them are your favourites too. It is a good to take your mind off things that are bringing you down and to dwell on the good more often than not. You can admire without wanting. What can I say, I like to look at pretty things!

Can you believe this is my last post of 2020? Neither can I!!

Thanks for all you prayers and happy thoughts for my father yesterday. He was at the hospital for about 5 hours.  They did all kinds of tests. As far as they can tell there was nothing wrong.  But when you are 87, you don't take any chances. He was fine last night, had a hearty supper, including dessert. So all is well.

Another friend of mine is in need of prayer. My friend Warren is undergoing by-pass surgery next week and he could use prayers of peace, comfort and healing. He is obviously very nervous about this as anyone would be.  If you could keep Warren in your prayers that would be really lovely. Warren was my home-room teacher when I was in Grade 7 and is related to my late Great Aunt's husband. Thank you!

In The English Kitchen today  . . .  Gooey Tear & Share Cheesy Bread. Perfect for New Years Eve!  Happy New Year!

Have a wonderful day. Stay safe and healthy. I was talking via facetime to my good friend in the UK, Jo on Tuesday.  (She was the housekeeper at the manor) The UK is probably going to be in Tier 4 lockdown for some time to come.  I wish people would just do what they are asked to do.  Things would be so much better in the long run. sigh  . . .

Don't forget . . .

  1. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2021. So glad your dad is okay. Will remember Warren in my prayers this week. Keith is not feeling well, could just be flu, but he's going to get Covid tested today, 2 places. One for the test that takes 4-5 days to get results and one for the rapid test which is not very accurate, but he can't go back to work until he has a negative test. No wonder this stuff is spreading so rapidly. Much love - XO

  5. That is good news about your dad. We all need to give 2020 a good swift kick out the door, and hope that 2021 brings peace, happiness, a huge drop in numbers of covid, and hopes that the vaccine is effective in the fight against it. Take care and be safe and most of all happy, as you went through so much in 2020.

  7. I quite enjoyed looking through all your favorite things. Many of them are mine too. I do love china, bees, fairies, quilts, rings, and etc. I loved all the photos of the items and some brought back snatches of memories.
I do hope you dear Dad is Ok. I had my husband in the ER on Christmas Eve. He's OK, but it was a little scary.
I'm happy you are there to help him; what a blessing for him and you.
I feel there is hope coming, but I think we will be doing the restrictions for a while and if everyone would do it; I do feel the time would be shortened.
May you have a wonderful New Year Celebration. May this year ahead be filled with love from family and friends and many tender mercies. I am grateful grateful for our blogging friendship through the years. I have learned so much from you.
I feel in my heart that you are going to have wonderful moments a head that will heal your heart.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way!
Thanks for you sweet comment on my blog!
