Outside my window...
The sun is up, the birds are singing. Not sure what the day will bring, but so far its dry. Dry is always a bonus here in the UK.
I am thinking ...
I have been thinking about how very pleased I am that the Duke and Duchesse of Sussex have their wee baby boy now. I wonder what his name will be? I am over the moon for them! I hope people are kind. I hate it when people are mean. If you can't say anything nice, then you best say nothing at all.
I am thankful for ...
Everything. I don't have one thing that I am not thankful for. Not even the hard stuff. Especially the hard stuff. The hard stuff helps you to grow and to become better than you are.
One of my favourite things ...
My sister's new Varage Sale Page on Facebook, Lost Lovelies Found. So proud of her and her start of a new business. She has some really nice, cute, wonderful things on there. Do pop on over and give her a shout out and follow if you can. Also share, share, share! I really hope this will be a success for her! She's amazing!
In the kitchen ...
Melting Potatoes. Thick sliced potato that is first roasted in a scrumptious butter mixture and then oven braised in a mix of stock and lemon juice to perfection. They positively melt in your mouth.
On my "To Cook" list ...
Good to know ...

I am reading ...
Stones for Bread, by Christa Parrish
A solitary artisan. A legacy of bread-baking. And one secret that could collapse her entire identity.
Liesl McNamara’s life can be described in one word: bread. From her earliest memory, her mother and grandmother passed down the mystery of baking and the importance of this deceptively simple food. And now, as the owner of Wild Rise bake house, Liesl spends every day up to her elbows in dough, nourishing and perfecting her craft.
But the simple life she has cultivated is becoming quite complicated. Her head baker brings his troubled grandson into the bakeshop as an apprentice. Her waitress submits Liesl’s recipes to a popular cable cooking show. And the man who delivers her flour—a single father with strange culinary habits—seems determined to win Liesl’s affection.
When Wild Rise is featured on television, her quiet existence appears a thing of the past. And then a phone call from a woman claiming to be her half-sister forces Liesl to confront long-hidden secrets in her family’s past. With her precious heritage crumbling around her, the baker must make a choice: allow herself to be buried in detachment and remorse, or take a leap of faith into a new life.
Filled with both spiritual and literal nourishment, Stones for Bread provides a feast for the senses from award-winning author Christa Parrish.
"A quietly beautiful tale about learning how to accept the past and how to let go of the parts that tie you down."
Have only just started to read this, but am loving it thus far.
I am looking forward to...
Getting stuck into my first article that I am writing today. A steep learning curve for sure!

Pronounced as ‘Mow-zel’ by the locals, Mousehole is a quaint little seaside village in west Cornwall with a picturesque port at its centre. I love Cornwall . . . its the setting for Poldark.

Something to Watch ...
Dead to Me on Netflix. They do use the"F" bomb a lot, but we are hooked on the story line. Very good.

*Fill your children with good thoughts
before they go to bed.
Ask them about their favourite
part of the day.
Praise them for a good deed,
pray with them.
Tell them they're the best gift
God gave you. They'll fall
asleep feeling ten feet tall.

And I do too!
Hi, Marie! It's lovely news about the new Royal Baby, isn't it? I do wonder what they will name him!! VERY fun with your sister's new biz dealing in old lovely things--all success to her! :) Your Melting Potatoes look delicious--must make! I'm making your Carrot & Lime Soup tonight! Freezing lemons is so great. Freezing the zest is great too. I keep it in a little jar in the freezer, then just scrape some out when I need it for a recipe or baking. Ooo...how CUTE is that pocket wall organizer. I often mean to get back to a little embroidery/stitching, but yarn has taken over here... haha! VERY clever the flower tea cozy--nice way to use African flower motifs. Your current book sounds like a really fun and interesting read--must add that one to my list! POLDARK! Can't wait for the next series... thankfully summer isn't too long away! Happy week to you all there, my dear friend...LOVE YOU LOTS!! :) ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))
