My Friday Finds . . .

A few of the things  I find each week that pique my interest, bring me joy, inspire me to learn, create, do, become . . . Maybe they will do the same for you!

El Capuchon by Lilinette Crochet on Ravelry.  To be honest it is supposedly for a man, but I don't think Todd would ever wear this.  Its interesting however, and looks warm and I think would be lovely on a woman.

RE-Design with Prima.  DIY Santos Dolls.  Interesting!

Not Getting Off This Train. Four weeks to fill your freezer.  Basically a plan for each Sunday over four weeks to fill the freezer with meals for every meal of the day, beginning with breakfast.

Rich Textures Crochet.  Free pattern for a round scrubbie.

Polka Dot Chair, how to sew a reading pillow.

Fleece Fun, basic Fleece Hat in sizes from baby to adult.  Simple.

At Second Street.  Fleece Ear Warmers.  Pretty

Spoonful of Sugar, triangular pencils case.  You could do it in manly colours for a boy.

Craft Foxes.  Upcycled jean front apron.  Pockets!

Buns in my Oven.  Beer Cheese Chicken Pretzel Sliders.  These look good.

Sister's Common Thread on Etsy.  A fold out Iron Caddy. Its an iron tote and ironing pad in one. Not free. Would be great in the sewing/craft room.

Dominique Trad on Ravelry.  A very pretty cowel scarf. Free download.

Make Your Own Zone Reusable Swiffer Covers.

Heart Hook Home. How to keep straight edges in crochet.

Yarnspirations, free pattern for a Bobble-licious pillow cover.  Look to the right hand side of the page for the pattrn download.

Aqua Paisley Studio. How to sew an envelope pillowcase in under an hour.

Heart Hook Home.  How to crochet a straight seam in the round.

Holly's Cheat Day, Snickerdoodle Apple Cobbler.  Looks yummy.

Cassidy Clark.  Knitted Teddy Bear.  Cute!

Happier Homemaker.  Lollipop Flowers.

Inspiration only, but isn't it cute?  Love this.

I Don't Have Time For That.  Instant Pot Egg Roll Bowls with Wonton Crisps.

And those are my finds for this week.  Hope you enjoyed them.

We had a wonderful time at Tina and Tony's yesterday.  She had cooked pot roast and there was  roast potatoes, beans and carrots, cauliflower cheese and she made a Slimming World dessert that was really delicious.  Plus a bread pudding as well.  I got the recipe for that because Todd really enjoyed it.  He loves bread pudding!  Best of all was the time spent with these two lovely friends of ours.  Its  nice to get away from it all for a short, and even nicer if you can spend the time with good friends.

A thought to carry with you  . . .

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the neat ideas you share!! Thanks so much!! And having such a fine meal with friends...what could be nicer!!
Just so you know, today had to go to a lunch with certain kin who so distain me. One of the things they gave us was the papers given out at funerals...this one for hubby's dad. Tho' I have been married to him for well over 40 years, they managed to keep my name off. It was SO cleverly done too I must say. Well, I told him tonight...this leaves me feeling completely free to not even tell them if you die. He agreed that was true. Tho' it took forever for him to read that little paper and see what was done. Amazing isn't it? Aw the lovely little narcissist's who currently tend to run the world...aw but twill not be forever!!

  2. Hi Marie, really pleased you had a good time yesterday. You're right, it does you the world of good to switch off for a while.

Talking of bread pudding, we went to Betwy-s-Coed on Wednesday and had lunch in the Royal Oak. The dessert was Orange and Cranberry Bread and Butter pudding with creamy custard. It was to die for! I could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as my waistline would prove!!!

Just doing a bit of shopping today before taking the decs down tomorrow and getting the flat back to normal. Have a lovely Friday, lot's of love xxx

  3. Hi, Marie...and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sooo good to catch up with you here at last! We were pretty wiped our post-Christmas and travels, crashing into the new year, and just now getting back into the swing of things. I've not had a chance to read all your posts yet...but did see about the very sad news of your Mom! I'm so very sad and sorry to hear that she may lose part of her leg--how awful! :( Prayers flying her way... and to you! ((BIG HUGS)) ... so much of your news to catch up on. LOTS of fun things and ideas here today, though. How adorable is that knitted teddy?! The foxy-face garland is so sweet! My freezer is already full, so will have to take a rain check on that. ;) Our tiny cube freezer only holds so much, which can be frustrating at times. Your Lemon Chicken Soup look so good, comforting and cleansing after the Christmas indulgences. ;) Thinking of you all there, and you Mom... ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))

Both my hubby & I have been very sick together (the flu) for 2 full weeks!
