In The English Kitchen today . . .  Tuna Loaf with a delicious Mustard Cream.  This is really simple and really good.

Book progress - Still working on edits, but it is going to move rather quickly from now on my editor says, he has brought on extra people to help.  And, he is already talking about another book. We shall see!

Knee progress - I have some exercises to do for it, and my blood tests showed I am anaemic again, so I am back on the iron.  Please pray that I don't have to go through a colonoscopy and endoscopy again.  Sigh  . . .

Todd progress - He is still tired and developing rashes, but we have gotten him some protein drink and he thinks it is helping.

Have a wonderful Friday.  Hope the sun shines down on you wherever you are!  Don't forget!

  4. Hi Marie, lovely finds today. I had a look at the short hair styles as I had my hair cut really short about six months ago. I've decided to grow it again as it is so much easier to manage. I have curly hair and all the short styles are for straight hair so I spend ages trying to get it straight. It's driving me mad now hahaha!!

We had a lovely day out at Bodnant Gardens yesterday. The weather was fabulous but all the colours that are out at the moment were absolutely breath taking.

Hope your knee starts to feel better soon and that your iron kicks in quick and of course still praying for good news for Todd. Lots of love to you both xxx

  5. Hi, Marie! So MUCH fun here today! Braided hair is so lovely, and I wish my hair was longer and thicker for such pretty hair designs. I've even seen books at the library with hair braid styles as the topic! Those are beautiful crocheted blankets--bookmarking. ;) That sock bunny is sooo cute... And so many good ideas for the garden--that wine bottle bird feeder and the vertical teepee/garden--I'll take those... And the mini Fairy gardens too--WOW! That little garden inside the seashell is amazing! WONDERFUL news about your book coming along, and maybe another book too--HOORAY! Praying for you and Todd both to be feeling better soo... ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))

  6. Oh how many wonderful things you find. I love them every week. I pray that things are better very soon.

For the ladies I have met on the board; this morning contained great news. My youngest is pregnant. She is 20 and her boyfriend is 20 as well. This has been a horrible pregnancy for her as she has had extreme morning sickness and has had 7 trips to hospital for drips. She is still taking anti nausea pills but seems to have things under control. I was a nurse and a special education teacher and at her first scan we found she has an abnormal uterus. Babies from these mums have a much great rate of problems and I have been on tenter hooks. Today she had a scan for 20 weeks. The baby seems to be perfect. It has ten fingers, toes, four limbs, two, eyes, kidneys, a normal bladder, heart and liver. God has blessed Connor and Philippa with a beautiful looking baby and in September we will welcome a beautiful little girl. So this afternoon Miss Pip went and bought frills and pink things and had such fun. This baby will not need any clothing until it is about six months old.

God bless you all and have a wonderful day.

  8. My neighbor has one of those tepee trellis . She's growing a garden in containers. The trellis is for peas and she's a row of radishes around the edge too. I too am making a tuna casserole for lunch with friends today. It's made with penne pasta and broccoli. I don't usually try out new recipes on friends, but today is an exception. Hopefully it's as good as it sounds. Have a fantastic Friday !

  9. Linda, it will be a real book. One you can hold, but I think it will also be available as an e-book. For cooking through, I like real books that I can hold and peruse. Just me. xoxo

Thanks Kate! When I have short hair, it only really looks good the day I walk out of the salon. I am such a baddie when it comes to hair. I am lazy. I want to just wash and go, although having said that, I have a brush straightener and it works wonderfully! I will have to check out Bodnant Gardens! xoxo

Thanks Tracy! You have such lovely thick hair! I love it just the way it is! Will be visiting your page today I hope. I am way behind on my reading! xoxo

Thanks Suzan! And I am beyond thrilled for Pip and Connor and YOU, your first grandchild. There is nothing so exciting as the first one. Oh I know all of them are special, but that first one is extra special in a unique way! I am so pleased that all looks so well! xoxo

I wish I had something to show you too Monique! Not a lot to share at the moment! Yes like the Ensure, etc. drinks. His get up and go has got up and gone and he is missing it! Happy Mother's day to you too Nana! xoxo

Your casserole sounds like it will be delicious Pam! How wonderful that you are having a lunch with friends! Lunch with friends is the best! Have a great weekend! xoxo
