My Friday Finds . . .

 photo FridayFinds_zpsb214ccd8.jpg

A few of the things I find each week which pique my curiosity or inspire me to want to do something, create something, cook something, or become a better person! I hope they will pique your curiosity or inspire you in some way as well!

A dog hat for winter!  I wish I could find a pattern to make my own, but alas, I can't.  You can buy ready made ones here on  Lyudmila Handmade.

Mmm . . .  Pecan Pie Bundt Cake.  This looks fab.  I love pecan pie and I love bundt cakes.  How could this not be a winner!  From Bake or Break.

Waffle Stitch Place Mats. I love the candy colours.  From You Can Make This.

Hanging hand towels.  I love these things.  I have some my mother made me.  They're great.  From The Purple Hooker.  A free pattern.

Crochet Hexagon Snowflakes.  Love it.  Would make a great Winter Afghan.  From What KT Made Next.

Months of the Year Counted Cross Stitch.    I could not find the pattern.  If you can I would love to know it!  These are gorgeous!

Note - Connie did find the designer.  It is Nikki Leeman and you can find them on Country Cottage Needleworks.   Thanks Connie!

Homemade Pumpkin Puree from 104 Homestead.

Make Your Own Composter.  Found on Sunny Simple Life.

Knitted Beehive Tea Cosy.  Found on Ravelry.

Watercolor for Beginners.  From  Fave Crafts.

26 Lazy Girl Hairstyling Hacks.  From Buzz Feed.

Brow Mapping.   I always struggle with this.  From Benefit Cosmetics.

Top Ten Eyebrow Tutorials.  Top Inspired.

Eye Liner Tutorials. Meraki Lane.  There are seven different ones on how to do your eyeliner.  Another thing I struggle with getting right.

Under the Sea Cookies.  Cute!  Butter With a Side of Bread.

And that's my finds for this week. I hope you found something to inspire you to get creating, or just do something better. A thought to carry through the day . . .

  1. Good morning Marie. I hope today goes very well.

I had my report from the hospital and it is very frightening. I see my doctor tomorrow.

    God bless.

  2. I have cooked my own pumpkin puree. It's good freshly made and you can freeze it too. However for the cost of the pumpkin and the work involved, it's just easier to buy it canned. I'm thinking some pumping bread is in my near future. Hope you have a fantastic Friday!

  7. Hi Marie!

I love all the cute dog hats I've been seeing lately, I think they are so cute! My big old Lab, would probably hate them... ;0/

I have the worst struggle with my eye brows!! They really have a mind of their own, and I'm not very good with brow shaping. I usually have my hair stylist wax them when I go have my hair cut. But, I may try the suggestions in your tutorial, they look doable!

I have been in a crocheting mood, I really need to find a good project!

Your cheese burgers look delish!! It's almost noon and I'm starving!!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  9. Marie.....I found a cute, winter dog hat, crochet pattern here: http://www.niftynnifer.com/2015/01/free-crochet-pattern-silly-hat-for-my.html It is for a larger dog, but as well as you know how to crochet, I think you could easily down-size the stitches and get a hat that would fit Mitzie. - Marsha

  10. Great ideas this week Marie, Think the dog ear muff would be easy to knot, just knit a straight strip then when long enough to go round dogs ears cast of and sew make a pom-poms for the top to hide where the sewing part is ....mind you I can't imagine my Masy wearing anything like that she really does not even like her winter water jacket on..she just sits plump on the ground and refuses to move LOL...like the tea cosy pattern as well, but last time I knitted two or three for table top sale at church I couldn't even sell them for the cost of the wool !! Folk all said...we don't use a teapot now just make our tea in a mug !!...hope you have had a good day been dull here with a chilly wind..oh dear I fear Autumn is arriving in haste, winter will be here before we know it...

  12. Thanks very much Sybil and Connie. I will add the link to the photo! I don't think Mitzie would stand much for having a hat either Sybil, but I can try. Your prayers are very much appreciated Connie. xoxo
