My Friday Finds

 photo FridayFinds_zpsb214ccd8.jpg

A few of the things I find each week which pique my curiosity or inspire me to want to do something, create something, cook something, or become a better person! I hope they will pique your curiosity or inspire you in some way as well!

Crochet Flower Tutorials by GoolCool.  Not free, but so sweet.  If you had a wedding or special occasion coming up, these would be lovely.

Crochet Key Covers from Craft Blog Grow.  These are soooo cute!   You could colour co-ordinate them to each different key and never wonder what key is for what ever again!

Candy Corn Cake in a Jar, from Delicious Home Decor.  Such a sweet idea for a neighbor gift for Halloween or Thanksgiving for that matter.   Free printable tag.

BOO!  Bark.  Such a sweet idea, no pun intended.  From Easy Peasy Mealz.

How to sew a cosy neck warmer.  I've seen plenty of knitted ones, but this is the first sewn one.  I like the idea, not these colours, but fabulous idea.  From Craftsy.

Anti-Pickpocket Bag. From Sew Easy.  I love it!   Free pattern download, tutorial and video.

Cutting lemons and leaving them in your room overnight will help alleviate breathing problems (asthma, colds or allergies). The following morning, your throat and air passages will feel clear and healthy.  The Daily Health Post.  The benefits of Lemon Oil.

10 Home Remedies for Arthritis in the Hands.  From e Pain Assist.

Ice versus Heat.  Which is better for your pain.  From Everyday Health.

Scottie Dog Ornament in felt. Purely inspiration.  From Flickr.
This is sooooo cute!

Men's scarf.  Free crochet pattern.  From  Ravelry.  You don't often see patterns for men's things.

Outlander Knitting Patterns.  Have you watched the show and thought I love Claire's shawl?  I have.   In The Look Knitting.

Free Printable maps.  From 123 Homeschool 4 Me.

Modern Farmhouse Colour Palate.  I really like these colours.  I think Tornado would look lovely here in the lounge.

How to build a Contemporary 4 Panel Barn Door.  I love it.  From Paper Daisy Design. I am after doing something about the door into the lounge.  It takes up so much space in a very small room.  You need to leave room for it to swing open so it minimizes where you can put your furniture.  I have toyed with the idea of taking it down and replacing it with a curtain, but this also looks like a possibility!

And there you have it!  My finds for this week.  I hope you found something which you might think useful in the lot!!

A thought to carry with you through today . . .

  1. Hi Marie. Some lovely finds today, I love the lemon idea, I love the smell of lemons! Well I've had a very hectic and stressful couple of weeks. Yesterday I moved out of my home of thirty years! George and I are staying with his family until we can move into our next place, so living out of a suitcase for a while! Lots of love xxx

  7. Hi Marie!

Loved your post today...we must of been on the same wavelength! I suffer from asthma, so the lemon idea is very interesting. I also have arthritis, my next read will be that article.

I have been contemplating paint color for one of the rooms in my house, and the farmhouse colors look wonderful, I've even chosen a couple that would work beautifully!

I love to crochet when the weather gets chilly, and it's chilly here, so I'm breaking out the crochet hooks.

I absolutely adore barn doors, and if I could build one for $50.00, I would be so happy!

Thanks for all your fun ideas, I love them all!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  8. Hi Marie - such lovely Friday Finds today! That chart about heat vs. ice was especially helpful to me - I have arthritis and also hurt my back a couple of weeks ago. I am finding that heat does more to relieve the pain than does ice. I hope you have a great weekend.

  9. Thanks Monique! My ex MIL had a little black Scottie dog. His name was Ferguson, Fergie for short. The kids loved him. He had an engaging personality. Have a great weekend! xoxo

Thanks Sybil! You have had a lot of company this year! Having company is fun, but yes, tiring! I hope you are well rested before the next lot arrives! xoxo

Thanks Barb! If I only had money to go with my ideas, lol! My house would be beautifully decorated! haha Have a great weekend! xoxo

You're quite welcome Deb! Sorry you hurt your back. I hope you can find some pain relief! Happy weekend, xoxo
