A few of the wow moments and things that I find each week that tickle my fancy. They might even tickle yours!
From Hopeful Honey, how to crochet, for those of you who want to learn how. Complete video tutorials!
Back to School Luch Ideas from Very Culinary. I can remember how difficult it was to make the kid's lunches interesting and delicious. I am loving the sandwich puzzle!
Top Ten Thrift Store Shopping Tips. From House of Hawthorne how to get the most out of your visits.
I could find no source, but it is said that the best way to cook corn is by using 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup), 1 cup of milk, and water to cover. Supposedly the most delicious ever. Now, to find good corn on the cob . . .
From The Inspired Room, ten top tips to help you prepare for houseguests! Every little helps!
Ten Good to Know uses for Epsom Salts. I found this on Creek Line House. Did you know, for instance, that adding a few bags to the soil before planting can help replenish the magnesium levels in the soil, which have been depleted due to over-farming?? I didn't either!
From A Beautiful Mess, a DIY Plantable Felt Garden for the kiddos to play with. Just brilliant! What a fab idea!
No source, but how cute is this little house ornament. It looks simple enough to make.
From Hobby Lobby, DIY Bottle Stoppers. It's as simple as gluing drawer pulls onto cork stoppered bottles.
Creatures made from Clothes pins. Found here. What fun!
And that's my finds for this week! I hope there was something here that interested you!

But, I also say this . . .
that light is an invitation to happiness,
and that happiness,
when it is done right, is a kind of holiness,
palpable and redemptive.

And I DO too!
Morning Marie, great finds as usual...I haven't got time this morning to look at them all but will check them out tonight..I am taking Mary to hospital this am...10 ok appointment but leaving at 8).30 as parking is horrendous there...just away now to have my cuppa and lemon curd slice of bread, my usual breakfast...I saw Mary's carer pass by so handed out Mary's bread for her to have before we leave...no sense her coming over here and then having Togo straight out again.....hope you are going to have a good day..looks like it's going to be sunny today and a wee bit warmer xx
ReplyDeleteMarie I have to make that cake. I love polenta cakes. Yum.
ReplyDeleteI am in a use it up etc frame of mind. So tonight I have turn mince into spaghetti sauce. This has to be a miracle meal. A little celery, carrot, onion and tomatoes make mince go a long, long way. One kilo of mince has turned into spaghetti tonight with two tubs two freeze for later meals and three meals from savoury mince. I see shepherds pies and lasagne in the future. Maybe on a lasagne day I will make a cake too.
God bless your day.
I had some great corn on the cob this summer, It was so sweet and tender. Sad to think it won't be much longer and the vegetable stands will be closing. Hope you have a fantastic Friday!
ReplyDeleteHi, Marie! Is it Friday already?! LOL... FUN lunch ideas. I think I may even use some of those for just the two of us here! CUTE PB& J "puzzle" sandwich(es). mmm... corn on the cob--taste of summer! You can get it here, but it seems more like animal feed to me than people feed! Maybe this method of cooking it might help. Anything's worth a try! How CUTE is that felt Christmas ornament??!! Very easy--cute for attaching to a gift, like a gift tag to maybe... Ideas buzzing! I really do need to start on Christmas... LOVE the Mary Olive quote!! I just love every word she writes... *sigh*... Happy Weekend to all of you there :o) ((LOVE & BIG HUGS))
